In conclusion to the Nick Hogan car crash case that saw his friend John Graziano institutionalized in a nursing home for the rest of his life, concluded yesterday with the Judge Philip Federico sentencing the young street racer to eight months jail time in Pinellas County jail, immediately.
Hogan represented himself and pleaded guilty yet still got the jail sentence, five years probation, 500 hours of community service and a 3 year driving ban with rehabilitation. The Judge said the case was a tragedy and despite Hogan's remorse his actions could have been avoided and thus he should be punished. Graziano's father said "Nick should bear the burden of what he did to my son as my son will have to carry the burden of what Nick did to him for the rest of his."
Following the hearing Hogan's lawyer told the media that Nick was happy with the sentence and would go on "to do good things with his life."
