In a rare Jeff Hardy interview with the Winnipeg Sun, the former intercontinental champion discussed his recent house fire and 60 day suspension, stating "I made two mistakes, the last one being really bad. I lost my championship, my house, my dog and a chance to be at Wrestlemania. And it all kind of happened in the same week. Part of me was like, Oh God, I don't want to be seen again. But I knew I had to come back and live for everything I'd lost. But I'm back with a new outlook. Fortunately, I had Matt. I had nowhere to go and he was there for me. We've moved on. We're rebuilding in the same area … it's a seven- or eight-month process."
