Will Chope Pulled From Tonight's UFC Fight Night 38, Released From Contract

After being removed from from his fight with Diego Brandao at today's UFC Fight Night 38, Will Chope will still receive his "show" money, according to UFC President Dana White.  The amount of money Chope will receive has yet to be disclosed.

Chope was pulled from his fight, and cut from the UFC roster, after details of his past become known to the public. This was to be Chope's second appearance in the UFC. Brandao received his “show” money and his win bonus following the bout’s cancellation.

Reports of Chope's past surfaced, most notably an incident in November of 2009, where he assaulted his wife and threatened her with a knife.  This however wasn't the only incident, according to the U.S. Air Force, to which eventually  Chope was discharged from service.

UFC released as statement earlier on the matter that read:
“The UFC does not condone behavior of this nature whatsoever and Chope has been released from his contract,”
