Detailed Results
At the tax deadline, Lucha Underground reaches the last heat in the trios tournament before the finals next week.

1. Prince Puma, Johnny Mundo, & Hernandez vs. King Cuerno, Cage, & Texano, Jr..

No sign of Konnan, who doesn't trust Mundo any more than Vampiro actually trusts Konnan. To me, the booking is a little backward, considering Puma beat Cuerno last week to keep the LU title. By all rights, this should've been the main event, as there was just no freakin' way they could follow this. But, as the night progresses, you'll see why this was the curtain-jerker.

Air traffic control had to be called with all the bodies flying all over the joint. Unfortunately, it took Texano taking a shortcut with his bullrope to be the difference maker. First, he KO'd Mundo on the floor, then swatted Puma with the rope, setting up Cuerno and the Thrill of the Hunt.

Winners: King Cuerno, Cage, & Texano, Jr..

Dario Cueto comes out to congratulate the team he himself put together, and decides on a triple threat match as a preview of next week's finals........

2. Cage vs. The Mack vs. Son of Havoc.

Cage stuck out like a sore thumb because he's a ground-based wrestler, unlike the others. Yes, the Mack can fly, or didn't you know that already? However, it was Son of Havoc who did most of the flying, whatever there was of that. Unfortunately, he also was left all alone with Cage, who made it 2 in a row for his side with Weapon X. Let me correct myself from an earlier report. Weapon X is a Gorybomb dropped into a behind the back STO. Still cool.

Winner: Cage.

Pentagon, Jr. is in the ring with Melissa Santos, who says Pentagon is dedicating his next sacrifice to his master, whomever that is. Melissa starts to leave, but doesn't realize Pentagon came for her! Vampiro starts to leave the desk to try to help, but Sexy Star makes the save and helps Melissa retreat to the back. Nothing good can come from a Sexy-Pentagon grudge match.

Earlier, Cueto had given pep talks to both Aerostar and Drago. Now comes the finale of their best of 5 series. Cueto's even doing the ring announcing, since Melissa's too shaken to come back.

3. Drago vs. Aerostar.

Series is tied at 2-2, making this winner take all. Not quite as good as the others, as the energy level just isn't there, thanks to the opening match. Cueto takes a seat at ringside. All through the show, we've seen a "special guest" (Shawn Daivari) sitting in the bleachers. Hmmm. After Aerostar went for a few quick pins, Drago finally ends it with the rolling cradle known as the Tail of the Dragon.

Winner: Drago.

Cueto congratulates Drago. His prize? Duh! A title shot vs. Prince Puma. However, Cueto shows his true colors again by declaring that Drago must win the title, just to keep his job. Lose, and he's banished from the temple, forever!!!
