Detailed Results
It took me 3 1/2 weeks before I finally went to On Demand and screened the season finale of Lucha Underground.

1. Alberto El Patron vs. Johnny Mundo.

As you'd expect, they brawled all over the joint. Seeing as how this show was taped 3 1/2 months prior to broadcast, whatever injuries sustained then have long since healed. El Patron was recovering from a quad injury at the time, and Mundo worked on the leg for a significant period. However, the turning point came when Melina Perez, Mundo's on-again, off-again manager-girlfriend, showed up and nailed El Patron with a belt shot after the only ref bump of the night. Mundo hits End of the World for the 2nd time in the match, and this one sticks.

Winner: Johnny Mundo.

Post-match, El Patron recovers and gets his revenge, throwing Mundo through a plate glass window, tit for tat, don'tcha know? Then, Melina gets a spanking as punishment for her crime. It's been 5 years since she left WWE, and she's probably back to where she was when we met her 10 years ago.

El Dragon Azteca shows up to save Black Lotus, but Dario Cueto reminds that Azteca broke the treaty, whatever that was. It was never really explained, and that's one of the big problems facing LU if/when it returns for season 2. Lotus turns on Azteca, and seemingly kills him with a knee strike to the spine. I don't understand these turns on this show.

2. Pentagon, Jr. vs. Vampiro.

Vamp comes out wearing black papal robes. I wonder if this was his last gimmick before retiring. With Vamp competing, Michael Schiavello is filling in on color. Schiavello could just as easily slide into a play-by-play role, making him & Matt Striker interchangeable. Another total brawl, as it seems the rule book is out the door on this night. Vamp hit a modified Nail in the Coffin, but got 2. He goes on, later, to get a table, and light it on fire. Pentagon, however, put Vamp through. They immediately doused the table and Vampiro with fire extinguisher. Vamp is on the floor, and Pentagon moves in for the pin.

Winner: Pentagon, Jr..

We then find out that Vamp was Pentagon's mystery master all along. He offers himself up as a "sacrifice", but the two are now united. Seems Vamp has decided to trade his mic for those robes...

3. Gift of the Gods match: Sexy Star vs. Fenix vs. King Cuerno vs. Big Ryck vs. Aerostar vs. Jack Evans vs. Bengala.

Winner gets a future title shot. Too much action to even describe. Key point in the match came when Delabar Daivari shows up, and promptly turns on Ryck with a chair shot. What was up with that? Marty Martinez invites himself to the party, going after Sexy, who promptly gets rid of him. Even Ryck got in on the flying. It came down to Cuerno, Evans, & Fenix. Cuerno crashes on the floor. Fenix hits the Firedriver on Evans, and that's all she wrote.

Winner: Fenix.

4. Texano, Jr. vs. Blue Demon, Jr..

I hate this. They've completely compromised the storyline that began in November. They say that Demon now lives in Miami. One guess how he got that crib. Probably with help from either Cueto, Chavo Guerrero, or Daivari. The Crew accompany Demon, dressed in matching blue suits. They're still scum. Demon uses his veteran status to make the match no-DQ, which in my opinion is illegal. Texano had no chance in what amounted to a handicap match. Chavo makes it 4-on-1. Like, did you really think he was helping Texano? Of course not.

Winner: Blue Demon, Jr..

5. LU title: Prince Puma vs. Mil Muertes (w/Catrina).

Per Dario Cueto, there must be a winner. Oh, joy. More nonsense. Heels have won all but one match on this card, and that is wrong-headed booking. They're plotting for a second season that they're not even sure they're going to have. Luckily, the title match was the best on the show. All Catrina did was look hot and raise the stone of death when needed. Konnan was taken out a couple of episodes prior, so Puma is all alone. Muertes hit a suicide dive into a spear, which got a phat pop. Puma kicked out of the Flatliner. Muertes got out of the 630. You forget that the big guy can fly. The end comes when Puma set up for another 630, but then Muertes does a Shelton Benjamin impersonation, and scales the turnbuckles so fast, Puma has no time to react. Muertes hits a Super Flatliner, and we have a new champion.

Winner: Mil Muertes.

The Disciples of Death join Mil & Catrina post-match for a celebration. After the credits roll, Lotus & Cueto are hastily bailing out. Drago & Aerostar bid each other farewell as friends. They had some of the best matches of the season against each other. Martinez has somehow abducted Sexy, rambling about his sister or something. This guy has a screw loose, or no brains. Texano is seen leaving in a car.

Now, the question is, what's next?
