Detailed Results
Tonight's opening flashback takes us back three weeks to the season opener. The reason for that is in our opening bout.

1. Chavo Guerrero, Jr. & the Crew vs. Ivelisse Velez, Son of Havoc, & Angelico.

Pre-match, Ivelisse met with Catrina, but was rebuffed and told that there is no automatic rematch clause in Lucha Underground, unlike other promotions. In other words, as long as she's in charge, Catrina will protect her champions as much as possible, moreso than other heel administrators.

Camera focused more on Cortez Castro (Ricky Reyes) after last week's cliffhanger. Something Matt Striker & Vampiro don't have any clues about, as it happens. The heels got token offense, and Chavo, supposedly healed, per Striker, from a hamstring injury sustained late in the first season, doesn't see much in ring action. Hmmmmm. The former champs hit a triple tope, and that sets up the finish, as Castro is thrown in, and Angelico finishes him with a double foot stomp (Lo-Ki's Warrior's Way).

Winners: Ivelisse Velez, Son of Havoc, & Angelico.

Post-match, Chavo berates the Crew, acting like he's Mr. Big Shot, but Texano, Jr. chases him out and whips the Crew with the bullrope.....

Johnny Mundo promo. Yeah, whatever.

Joey Ryan meets with Castro in the locker room, and promptly makes the mistake of nearly blowing his partner's cover. Ryan makes his LU in ring debut next.

2. Joey Ryan vs. Cage.

I think back to when Ryan was in Wrestling Society X nearly 10 years ago, before his cup of coffee with TNA. A lot of flash, very little substance. Nothing has changed, although some matches I've seen of him with his lady fair, Candice LeRae, on YouTube suggest he's capable of better. Here, he looked solid, and actually had Cage down on the mat. Unfortunately, he couldn't keep him there. Striker cracked that Ryan looked like his evil twin. Cage got his second wind, and killed Ryan with a Steiner Deathdriver.

Winner: Cage.

Post-match, Mundo tried an ambush, but Cage thwarted that, and left Mundo lying after Weapon X (Gorybomb-STO combo).

Rey Mysterio is training Dragon Azteca, Jr., and warns about bringing vengeance into the temple. They bring up the long broken treaty. Apparently, Azteca and Matanza are due to meet......

3. Prince Puma vs. Pentagon, Jr..

Vampiro was super stoked for this one for obvious reasons. Fans are split down the middle, which Striker says has more to do with respect. Word. Very even right down the middle. Pentagon blocked the 450, and hit the package piledriver, but Puma kicked out. Pentagon went to a surfboard submission, then lowered Puma's shoulders to the mat, forgetting that his own shoulders were down. Ref Marty Elias counts, and Puma raises his shoulders at the last possible second.

Winner: Prince Puma.

Upset, Pentagon superkicked Elias after, which will get him in trouble. Puma teased breaking Pentagon's arm, but backed off.

Meanwhile, Sexy Star appears to have escaped Marty the Moth, and runs into the Mack. Sexy points toward......?????? Now, that's a cliffhanger.
