1. Pindar def. Cage-DQ.

2. Dante Fox def. Son of Havoc.

3. Prince Puma def. P. J. Black.

Detailed Results
Prince Puma meets with his new mentor, Vampiro. Puma has seen flashbacks to his past (i.e. being entombed by Mil Muertes), and knows he has to win the Cueto Cup and the title to make the visions go away.

1. Pindar (w/Kobra Moon) vs. Cage.

This match never really started. Cage wouldn't remove the gauntlet, which suggests it now controls him, and the ref paid the price without Pindar laying a hand on his opponent.

Winner via DQ: Pindar.

Pindar won't have it so easy in the quarters---he gets Fenix next.

2. Dante Fox vs. Son of Havoc.

SOH is ambushed by Son of Madness pre-match, but the former 2-time trios champ recovers and gives it a go, opting against a forfeit. They'd have been better off delaying this to next week. Pretty even match ends with Fox landing the Fox Catcher to advance.

Winner: Dante Fox.

P. J. Black is ready for his match, but first Worldwide Underground now has an agent, on Benjamin Cooke. This goes along with Johnny Mundo's developing film career outside the ring, but this guy is bad news.

3. P. J. Black vs. Prince Puma.

No help from WU, and that's just as well, as Black didn't deserve to move on with a lame DQ in the 1st round. Best match on the show, easily. They traded kicks, knees, flips, and did everything but wave flags. Anyway, Puma moves on after landing the 630 splash, and Black's bid to advance is erased. WU now has no dogs left in the fight.

Flash forward "five minutes", and Black is summoned to Dario Cueto's office. Cooke has called Cueto 17 times since the match ended. See what I mean? While Black can't get a re-entry, he will face Rey Mysterio next week. I think these two met in WWE (when Black was Justin Gabriel) a few years back. Expect more WU shenanigans.
