Detailed Results
The usual montage of clips set up this week's card.

1. Pentagon, Jr. vs. Argenis.

Decent opener. I think these two might've faced each other a few times in Mexico, which would explain why this isn't a squash. It instead is very competitive, but then Pentagon takes control, and it's ballgame over for Argenis. Package piledriver leads right to the double armbar submission, and, of course, Argenis "has his arm broken" post-match.

Winner: Pentagon, Jr. via submission.

More with Konnan, who has crafted a new, sturdier cane, and has to deal with some hoodlums in a rainstorm. Ehhhh, whatever.

Catrina tells Fenix he has one more match with Mil Muertes, this one billed as "Grave Consequences" for next week. In other words, it's a casket match.

2. Ivelisse Velez vs. Angelico.

Son of Havoc is the guest ref, and you'd think he'd tilt this in favor of his tempermental squeeze, but no. He does follow the rules and keeps Angelico away while Velez is in the corner. She tries taking advantage of Angelico's reluctance to fight, but it is to no avail. The fatal blow comes when Angelico, thinking the fix is in, as Vampiro is suggesting in commentary, ends up nailing Velez with a heel kick to the face, one that was intended for SOH, who then fast counts his woman down. WTF?

Winner: Angelico.

Catrina warns Mil Muertes about next week. She's clearly playing both ends against the middle now, isn't she?

3. King Cuerno vs. Johnny Mundo.

The first cage match in LU history highlights the card. Mundo, of course, is no stranger to cage matches, having fought a few of those in WWE. And, just so WWE & TNA get the idea, no one else shows up to spoil the party. That's the way a cage match is supposed to be done. This was just awesome. Cuerno kept going for Thrill of the Hunt, but couldn't connect, and he couldn't weaken Mundo long enough to do anything else. He got heat by working on the injured leg, but that didn't last long. Fittingly, Mundo rose to the top of the cage, facing Cuerno's deer head trophy/helmet, and nails a swank corkscrew moonsault off the top to put this one to bed.

Winner: Johnny Mundo.

One writer for another site mistook this standard corkscrew moonsault for the split-legged version known here as End of the World. You'd think he'd know the difference. Oh, and, save for the opening recap montage, Dario Cueto was nowhere to be seen for a change. Take a lesson from that, WWE!
