Detailed Results
A triptych of recaps to start, covering Big Ryck vs. the Crew, Fenix vs. Mil Muertes, and, in our opener, Drago vs. Aerostar.

1. Aerostar vs. Drago.

It turns out that Dario Cueto, seen only in flashback for the 2nd straight week, made this a best of five series, already tied at 1 match apiece. Matt Striker references Magnum TA vs. Nikita Koloff for the US title nearly 30 years ago.

Drago hit a running Liger bomb for 2. Again, they pulled out all the stops. Aerostar, however, leaves with the advantage.

Winner: Aerostar. Leads series, 2-1.

Konnan is using a chess match with Prince Puma to school him on, ah, the art of war. Puma defends vs. Cage next week in one half of a double main event.

2. Big Ryck vs. The Crew (Bael, Mr. Cisco, & Cortez Castro.)

The Crew get the jobber entrance. Uh-oh. They attack as one at first, but once Ryck gets some separation among his former buds, he begins to eliminate them one by one. Bael is the first to go via the released urange formerly known as the Book of Ezekiel. Striker referenced Ryck's religious beliefs, leading me to think the man may be a Christian. Castro's next after the kendo stick is used against him for an assisted lariat. That leaves Cisco, as he was the one who "burned" Ryck's eye. Thought he'd get the stick stuck in his eye, but nope. Instead, Ryck hits another urange, this one bounces Cisco off a chair. Later, yo.

Winner: Big Ryck.

I should note that Cisco tried to take the coward's way out and take a countout, but Sexy Star would have none of that, and blocked his path. Cueto made this no-DQ, and it backfires on the Crew.

3. Coffin match: Fenix (w/Catrina) vs. Mil Muertes.

I don't think the "believers" quite get that Catrina turned on Mil a couple of weeks back, and is trying to lure Fenix to the dark side. The fans cheer for Fenix anyway, but how long will it be before Catrina turns on him? Muertes pounded Fenix into submission, and nearly tore the mask off in the process. Fenix juiced a gusher, and kept fighting back. On the floor, Catrina took a bullet, if you will, getting clotheslined when Fenix ducked out of the way. She staggered back to her feet, and opened the casket. With Muertes on the apron, Fenix hit a double foot stomp to knock his foe into the coffin. Catrina licked Muertes' stone, and tossed it in. She, and not the weakened Fenix, closed the lid, which I don't think is right, but it counts.

Winner: Fenix. test
