Detailed Results
Truth Martini sits in for Steve Corino on this week's show, taped last month in Dearborn, MIchigan.

1. Alberto El Patron vs. ACH.

Martini ran down both men in commentary, putting TV champ Jay Lethal over. Meh. Martini to me is still a Grand Wizard wannabe, and will always be. Good, hot opener. ACH played subtle heel, mocking El Patron, and doing the Eddie Guerrero shoulder shake, badly, for heat. The match turned when ACH went for the 450, but overshot El Patron and rolled through. He hit a German suplex with bridge for 2. Went for the 450 again, but El Patron blocked and floated into the cross-armbreaker. ACH tapped almost immediately.

Winner: Alberto El Patron.

Footage was shown of the Briscoes training with ODB. Make of that what you will. I'm tempted to do some Green Acres jokes with these three.

2. Michael Elgin vs. Mark Briscoe.

We're reminded that Martini used to manage Elgin. In commentary, it sounded like Martini would be interested in a reunion. I wouldn't be. Good back and forth match, with Mark using redneck kung fu. It took him three tries before he hit the Death Valley Driver, but couldn't get off Froggy-bow. Elgin hit the Buckle Bomb, then landed a Jay Driller, a direct shot at Jay Briscoe, to end it.

Winner: Michael Elgin.

Post-match, Elgin grabbed a spare turnbuckle, and tried to injure Mark. That, of course, lured the champ out, and Elgin bailed for a second. Jay checked on Mark, and Elgin waffled him with the belt. Tomasso Ciampa then attacked Elgin, and Hanson went after Ciampa. They started brawling, but Elgin wanted no part of it and bailed.

3. ROH TV title: Jay Lethal vs. Roderick Strong.

Martini left the desk, and came back with Lethal & J. Diesel. Jimmy Jacobs replaced Martini at the desk. Predictably, there were shenanigans. Martini grabbed the leg, and, after getting knocked to the floor, Strong ate three suicide dives. Strong rallied, and went for the Sick Kick, but, with Martini distracting the ref, BJ Whitmer came out and laid out Strong before the break.

The action resumed after the break, but a guick jump cut shows the House of Truth leaving, leading one to assume that Lethal had been disqualified for interference---finally----, but Strong cut a promo that forced Lethal back into the match. Strong finally got off a Sick Kick, but Lethal kicked out at 2. Lethal hit 2 superkicks before finally connecting with the Lethal Injection to retain.

Winner: Jay Lethal.

Post-match, another jump cut took us backstage, where Strong confronted Whitmer, and they did a quick pull-apart. Curiously, Mark Briscoe pulled Whitmer out of the fray. Back in the ring, Alberto El Patron returned and attacked Lethal, sending him scurrying, setting things up for the PPV next week in Las Vegas.
