Detailed Results
We open with a recap of the Briscoes-Alexander/Coleman match from last week.

1. Tomasso Ciampa (w/Embassy LTD) vs. Matt Taven

No Code of Honor here, as Ciampa ambushed Taven before the bell with a dragon suplex. Taven came back and stayed even with Ciampa for most of the match. Jay Lethal came out and took a seat at ringside to keep an eye on Ciampa, his opponent at Border Wars next week. Ciampa threw everything he had at Taven, but Taven kept coming back. Finally, Project Ciampa ends it. Winner: Tomasso Ciampa.

TJ Perkins is interviewed backstage, but is interrupted by the Young Bucks, whose attitudes need some permanent adjusting......

2. Mike Mondo vs. TJ Perkins.

Mondo was last seen in a match vs. Taven a month ago, and now is being billed as "No Fear". Not too fond of the half-blond, half-dark hairstyle he has. Halfway, the Bucks came out, but you could see that coming a mile away. Sure enough, one of them interferes with Perkins long enough for Mondo to hit a double-arm DDT off the middle rope. Winner: Mike Mondo.

Post-match, Mondo & the Bucks continue the assault, and the clueless ref, Paul Turner, should've done the math and reversed the decision. The All Night Express, Kenny King & Rhett Titus, who've turned face since the last time I saw them on YouTube, made the save. Figure on a 6-man tag as early as next week.

Inside ROH continues the countdown to Border Wars, with comments from Eddie Edwards, the House of Truth, the Briscoes, and Charlie Haas & Shelton Benjamin, in reverse order.

Kyle O'Reilly interview. Like his mentor, Davey Richards, O'Reilly has no love for Kevin Steen, whom he faces next.

3. Kyle O'Reilly vs. Kevin Steen (w/Jimmy Jacobs).

Steen's been derided for being out of shape and not caring about it. He has his followers, which is puzzling to some, but that's what charisma does for you. Jacobs is an idiot savant who should be kept away from the ring at Border Wars, but you know that ain't happening. Way too short. Steen slammed O'Reilly's left ankle into the post early, and O'Reilly sold it for the rest of the match. Despite the injury, O'Reilly was able to get plenty of offense in. Steen knocked O'Reilly's mouthpiece out, the put it in his own mouth. Gross! O'Reilly got it back, and flung it at Jacobs. Fine. Steen comes back and tries to use the anklelock, but that's countered into an enziguri. The end comes when Steen hits the X-8 (F-5). Winner: Kevin Steen.

Post-match, Steen & Jacobs doubled on O'Reilly before Richards made the save. Major pull apart. I guess Jim Cornette's old tennis racquet gimmick has been passed down to Steen after all, as O'Reilly & Richards were both beaten down with it. After the commercial, Richards cut a short promo on Steen, promising that Steen won't win the title. Given what's happened since this show was taped, I'm not so sure about that.

Announced for next week: Richards vs. Rhino, plus a showcase for some CHIKARA talent.
