MAIN CARD

Yancy Medeiros vs. Damon Jackson

Round 1: Good early kick by Medeiros. A right hand by Medeiros hurts Jackson. Front kick by Jackson. There's a failed takedown attempt by Jackson. They spend a minute against the cage. The referee separates them after an accidental low blow. Spinning back kick by Medeiros misses. Nice left handed uppercut by Medeiros. Medeiros goes for a guillotine choke and gets Jackson down for a moment. Jackson with a slow spinning kick to end the round.

Round 2: Quick left hand from Medeiros to start the round. Jackson hits two head kicks. Medeiros cuts Jackson from some punches. Medeiros gets a reverse bulldog choke. Medeiros has the guillotine choke and Jackson tries to turn his head to escape. Real odd looking submission and Jackson went out old after tapping.

Ramsey Nijim vs. Carlos Ferreira

Round 1: Nijim comes out aggressive, closing the distance. While Ferreira is on the ground, Nijim almost kicks a downed opponent in the head. Giant left hook by Nijim and Ferreira continues to move forward. Nijim gets full guard on the ground for a few seconds. Right hands are being tagged by Ferreira. They have an exchange and Nijim puts Ferreira on the ground. They swing in the Octagon's center and Ferreira gets the better as Nijim is wobbly. Ferreira tries for a kimura before Nijim stands.

Round 2: Nijim walks right into a front kick. Ferreira grabs the neck of Nijim in a guillotine choke. He lets go and they eventually stand. Big right hand by Ferreira on the chin of Nijim and he goes limp.

Carlos Ferreira defeated Ramsey Nijim via TKO (punches) at 1:53 of round 2

Bethe Correia vs. Shayna Baszler

Round 1: Baszler with an early tie-up. They're on the ground with Baszler getting the ground control. After two minutes on the ground, Correia is able to escape by standing. Some uppercuts by Correia and a failed takedown by Baszler. The round ends with Baszler looking for a choke.

Round 2: They're against the cage with Correia landing repeated shots to Baszler's head and body. Correia is throwing bombs and Baszler is trying to fight out. She can't and is bleeding. Correia continues with powerful punches as Baszler stands there and the referee has seen enough.

Tony Ferguson vs. Danny Castillo

Round 1: Ferguson out with a kick and lots of fakes by both men. Castillo throws an overhand right. Ferguson with another hard kick to the body. Castillo is on the outside as he fails to get a single leg takedown. Ferguson clips Castillo and gets a d'arce choke. It's tight, but Castillo gets out after about 90 seconds. The round ends with Castillo on top of a downed Ferguson, with little work done.

Round 2: The crowd is chanting for Castillo. Ferguson is being aggressive with leg kicks. Castillo with lots of boxing. Ferguson with inside leg kicks and they're on the ground. Castillo gets the better of the two and lands more against Ferguson.

Round 3: Ferguson tries to roll, which doesn't go well, for a knee bar. Castillo is on top of Ferguson. They stand with three minutes and Castillo has the back. Back on the ground and they trade for the better position. Some elbows to the head by Ferguson. Castillo goes for the back and neck with seconds left. Castillo has an arm triangle choke as the bell sounds.

UFC bantamweight champion T.J. Dillashaw vs. Joe Soto

Round 1: Dillashaw is using some early footwork to keep Soto on the outside. Leg kick by Dillashaw sends Soto to the ground for a moment. Right hand by Dillashaw and he gets the back of Soto. The challenger stands and ducks a head kick. Dillashaw looks relaxed as he's dictating the pace. Nice leg kick by Soto as the round ends.

Round 2: Soto with several right hands. Dillashaw is working on Soto's body. Nice uppercut by Dillashaw. Soto continues to push forward. High kick by Dillashaw doesn't do much. Soto with a shot to the body and more repeated jabs. Lots of striking combos by both men. Dillashaw's face is starting to look the worse of the two. Knee up the middle and punches by Dillashaw as the round ends.

Round 3: They're trading punches and both are bleeding a bit from the face. Nothing major is landing, but lots of movement. Dillashaw seems more comfortable this round. Great exchange with Dillashaw getting the better by throwing more punches. Dillashaw's uppercut is helping. Soto is starting to look tired and Dillashaw keeps throwing punches. The round ends with a kick by Dillashaw.

Round 4: We enter the first championship round. Soto walks into an uppercut. High kick by Dillashaw. Soto is keeping his hands up and eating plenty of shots. Both men are much slower this round. Dillashaw keeps throwing his right hand and he gets a takedown. Soto stands and the round ends about 20 seconds later.

Round 5: Soto fails for the fourth time to get a takedown. Dillashaw with a big kick and he's starting to bloody Soto. Dillashaw with a head kick that wobbles Soto onto the canvas. A left hand follows by Dillashaw and the referee has seen enough.
