SmackDown! opens with a “In Memory” screen to the Ultimate Warrior. Michael Cole announces that this Monday’s RAW will be a tribute to the memory of The Ultimate Warrior as they celebrate his career and legacy.



We kick off this edition of Friday Night SmackDown! emanating from the CajunDome in New Orleans, LA with the incomparable, true “Face Of WWE,” John Cena. Cena asks if the crowd is tired from all the WrestleMania XXX festivities and the crowd cheers to prove that they aren’t. He says that WrestleMania kicked off monumentally with Steve Austin, The Rock, and Hulk Hogan shared the same ring, Triple H getting played which led to Daniel Bryan to being the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion.

John Cena thanks the crowd for remixing his entrance music, which creates a faint “John Cena sucks” chant. He thanks Taker for his career in the WWE following his defeat at the hands of Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania

John Cena plays up the new NXT Superstars appearing and the Divas division finally turning a “Paige.” John Cena states that he is the measuring stick of the WWE and their place will only be solidified if they can get through him.

The Wyatts interrupt John Cena and Luke Harper states that even though time heals all wounds, Cena has only given the Wyatt Family more time for them to hurt him. Bray Wyatt cuts in and asks “If I lost to you at WrestleMania, why can't I keep from smiling?” He asks why does he continue to feel good. He says that he realized that John Cena is not hollow. Bray Wyatt sees miracles within himself, his mind is endless and it is free. Wyatt states that it must have been freighting because Cena needs a little push. Wyatt thinks he must get “Extreme”

Bray Wyatt sings he has the hold world in his…..hands.

Michael Cole and JBL play up the main event of the evening: WWE World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan and WWE Tag Team Champions The Usos taking on Kane, Batista, and Randy Orton.

We then see a reflection on The Streak and how it ended at the hands of Brock Lesnar

Match 1:
Big Show vs. Cesaro w/Paul Heyman



Cole states this match is primarily about settling the score for Big Show as Cesaro dumped him out of the ring to win the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal. Paul Heyman comes to a chorus of boos and states that he is the advocate for the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal winner, The King Of Swing, Cesaro.

Cesaro comes out to no music as Heyman continues to play up Cesaro’s future. Heyman states that he is a sure thing, The Next Big Thing, the King Of Swing.

Big Show and Cesaro start with a handshake before Big Show and Cesaro test each other’s strength. Big Show starts to throw his weight around. But when Cesaro starts to use some European uppercuts, Big Show shoulder blocks him and Cesaro rolls to the outside. Big Show hits Cesaro with a huge chop on the apron an rolls him back into the ring. Cesaro recovers and attempts to suplex Big Show back into the ring but Big Show counters by hoisting Cesaro over the top rope. Cesaro positions himself like he is going to powerbomb Big Show to the outside but Big Show drops all of his bodyweight on Cesaro’s upper chest.

Both men roll into the ring and Cesaro kicks out at two. Big Show motions for the KO punch and Cesaro rolls him out of the ring. Cesaro looks to Heyman for guidance and Heyman instructs Cesaro to take his air, as the Big Show can't fight if he can’t breathe. Big Show attacks Cesaro in the corner when he rolls back in and follows it up with a huge chop. Big Show attempts a second chop but Cesaro counters and build a head of steam until Big Show hits a huge back drop that injuries his ankle.

Big Show hits another chop but Cesaro fights back again. Once gain, Cesaro is overwhelmed by the Big Show’s immense size. In the corner, Big Show rams his shoulders into Cesaro’s gut and as he rushes to the corner again, Cesaro gets his legs up and applies a sleeper hold. Big Show creates separation by ramming his back into the turnbuckle. Cesaro avoids another Big Show rush to the corner and applies the same sleeper hold once again.

Big Show builds momentum and powers out which Cesaro reels from. Big Show knocks Cesaro down and signals for the choke slam. Once he wraps his hands around his neck, Cesaro counters into the sleeper hold for the third time. Big Show falls backwards and breaks the hold and Big Show goes to the top rope but misses a big elbow drop. Cesaro goes for the Cesaro Swing but Jack Swagger runs in to apply the Patriot Lock on Cesaro, causing Big Show to lose by DQ.

Winner via disqualification: Cesaro w/Paul Heyman in 8:33

Cesaro attacks Big Show after Big Show chases Swagger away and hits the Neutralizer with great fanfare to lay out the giant.

We see a graphic telling the SmackDown! audience that WWE Legend and Hall Of Famer ‘The Immortal’ Hulk Hogan will be making an appearance on SmackDown!

Back from commercial break, we are set for our next match of the evening, Rybaxel taking on Los Matadores

Match 2:
Rybaxel vs. Los Matadores w/El Torito



Ryback starts the match up with one of the Matadores and Diego uses his speed advantage to get a quick advantage. Diego avoids all of Ryback’s moves but when he goes up to the top rope, Ryback catches him and plants him with a powerslam. Curtis Axel is tagged in and Diego tries to fight back but Curtis Axel hits his feint clothesline followed by his running knee to Diego’s face. Ryback is tagged back in and after a double team, Ryback claims control with a tight headlock. Diego tries to get back up but Ryback forces him back down.

Diego continues to feed of the crowd and when he gets back to his feet, he dropkicks Ryback down to the mat. Axel is tagged in but when he tries to knock off Fernando from the apron, he misses and Diego eventually tags in Fernando. Fernando regains control of the match and goes back to the top rope and scores a big hit off the top rope.

Ryback breaks up the pin but is dumped to the outside afterwards. El Torito jumps on Ryback but he is caught and as he goes to toss Toritio into the crowd, Fernando hits a baseball slide to stop him. Diego attacks Ryback on the outside but the distraction allows Axel to hit his finisher on Fernando for the victory.

Winners via pinfall: Rybaxel in 5 minutes

Renee Young is interviewing RVD in the back and he states that the landscape of the WWE has changed. He states that the face of WWE has changed and it now has a beard. He also states that the WWE Universe has missed his face and he is heading to the ring to remind them all that it is cool to be R….V….D.

Match 3
Rob Van Dam vs. Damien Sandow



RVD comes out to a huge pop. The match starts of aggressive on Sandow’s part but RVD’s quickness comes into play with swift kicks and roll ups. After a spinning cartwell in the corner and a Rolling Thunder, Sandow rolls out the ring. Sandow takes advantage after RVD misses a moonsault from the apron and aggressively beats him down after tossing him in the ring.

Sandow drops the point of his knee in RVD’s face and after the Elbow Of Disdain, he gets a two count. Sandow elbows RVD on the apron and recklessly drags RVD into the ring to put him in a headlock. RVD uses the crowd to get back to a vertical base.

RVD tries to elbow his way out but Sandow stops it with some knees to the but. RVD’s swift kicks get him the advantage and as he goes for the frog splash, Sandow jumps up to the top rope to stop it. Sandow tries to suplex RVD off the top rope and RVD hits the 5 Star Frog Splash for the quick victory.

Winner via pinfall: Rob Van Dam in 4:22

The announcers state that Hulk Hogan will be appearing next.

We see a vignette for Adam Rose.

Hulk Hogan makes his way out to a huge ovation from the WWE Universe. Before he can speak, the crowd starts a huge “Hogan” chant. He states that Daniel Bryan winning the WWE World Title was a huge WrestleMania moment and solidified WrestleMania XXX as YestleMania. This starts up a nice “Yes! chant”

Daniel Bryan makes his way out and the two shake hands. Hulk Hogan leads the CajunDome in a “Yes! chant” before Daniel Bryan speaks. Bryan states that this week has been the greatest week of his life. Winning the championship, getting married, and now sharing the ring with Hulk Hogan. Bryan states that he is just like all the fans in when he grew up watching and idolizing Hulk Hogan.

Bryan states that he prayed like Hogan to main event WrestleMania. He took his vitamins to get his 24” pythons, although he didn’t make it, Bryan states that he was always a Hulkamaniac. Bryan asks that the production crew play Hogan’s themes so he can witness up close and personal Hulk Hogan putting his ear to the crowd. Bryan joins in and does all of Hulk Hogan classic poses with him with the WWE Universe cheering wildly. Following the posedown, Hulk Hogan joins in on the “Yes! chant”

Backstage, we see Bad News Barrett making his way to the ring for one-on-one action against Kofi Kingston.

Match 4:
Bad News Barrett vs. Kofi Kingston



The bell rings to begin the match but Barrett gets a microphone to announce Bad News for Kofi Kingston. Kingston rushes to attack Barrett but Barrett stops him and says he has Bad News as he attacks him. Barrett tosses Kingston out the ring and prepares the Bullhammer but Kofi Kingston and hits the boom drop on him.

As Kofi prepares for the Trouble In Paradise, Barrett rolls back into the ring and when Kofi tries to hit his finish, he jumps right into the Bullhammer elbow and Barrett picks up the victory.

Winner via pinfall: Bad News Barrett in 2:45

WWE then shows the video audience their “Thank You” video package, followed by more WrestleMania XXX highlights

Back to the ring, we see Emma and Santino in the ring killing time as they wait for Fandango to make his way to the ring. Layla comes out to the ring with him, apparently dumping Summer Rae as his valet and dance partner.

Match 5:
Santino Marella w/Emma vs. Fandango w/Layla El



Santino and Fandango tie up and Fandango gets the upper hand following a quick series of hip tosses from Santino. Fandango uses quick chops to send Santino to the floor for a two count. Santino fights back to a vertical base and when Fandango rushes at him in frustration, Santino hits a big hip toss. Following that, he pulls out the Cobra to finish the match but Layla takes it away from him. Off the distraction, Fandango gets the roll up pin for the victory.

Winner via pinfall: Fandango w/Layla El in 1:30

Following the match, Michael Cole and JBL recap the AJ Lee/Paige encounter from WWE RAW that resulted in Paige capturing the WWE Divas Championship from A.J.
We see a vignette to give us a more in depth look to Paige.

We see another vignette for Adam Rose and his ‘Exotic Express’

We see a recap of the confrontation between The SHIELD, Batista, Randy Orton, Triple H, Kane, and Daniel Bryan from Monday Night RAW and the promo the The SHIELD cut on The Authority on Wednesday’s Main Event.

On SmackDown! Kane tries to rally Randy Orton and Batista into focusing all of their energies on Daniel Bryan and The Usos. Kane tries to calm everyone down by stating that they all answer to a higher authority. When Kane leaves, Batista states that he doesn’t answer to anyone. Randy Orton shares the same sentiment.

Main Event:

The champions make their way out first and Daniel Bryan receives a huge pop.

More highlights from WWE WrestleMania XXX

The heels begin to make their way to the ring and all of the boos get progressively louder as each man approaches the ring.

Batista starts the match off against one of the Usos and forces him into the corner. After regaining control, the heavily bandaged Uso tags in but it is immediately spinebustered. Randy Orton tags in and stomps the midsection relentlessly. Orton rips apart the bandage on Orton and makes and tags in Kane.

-Commercial Break for Extreme Rules-

Kane has been dominating during the commercial break and Batista tags back in to ram his shoulder into the back of the injured Uso. Randy Orton attacks Uso while the refs back was turned. Orton tags in officially and hits a backbreaker for a two count. JBL notes that there are 18 world championships between Orton and Batista.

Back to the action, Orton hangs Uso up on the ropes, targeting his ribs and lower back, which he then transitions into a wrestling roll to keep the pressure. Orton sends Uso off the ropes and Uso rebounds into a dropkick. Kane tags in and hits a sidewalk slam for a two count. Kane applies a reverse bearhug but Uso fights his way back to a vertical base but Kane grabs his hair and whips him back down.

Orton tags in and wraps his legs around Uso’s ribs, squeezing air out of him. Uso fights back to a vertical base and gets in some offense but Orton stops it with a powerslam. Uso’s brother distracts Orton and he turns into a Samoan drop. Kane is tags in and when he tries to stop the tag, he is hit with a dragon wheel kick to make the tag to Daniel Bryan.

Bryan attacks Kane and does his usual comeback spot and the crowd cheers in approval. Bryan kicks Kane repeatedly but ducks on the last one. Kane rushes but is dumped to the outside and Daniel Bryan hits a springboard on Kane. Orton and Batista attack Bryan on the outside then The Usos take them out with dives on their own. All six men are now brawling and the referee calls the match a no contest due to lack of control.

Batista and Orton roll the Usos back into the ring and Orton hits an RKO on one of the Usos. Batista hits a Batista Bomb on the rib-injured Uso and as Kane tries to choke slam Bryan through the announce table, The SHIELD intervene and beat Kane down. The SHIELD target Orton and Batista and the two Evolution members retreat. Kane tries to attack The SHIELD with steel chairs but Daniel Bryan hits the running knee to take him out. The SHIELD hit the Triple Powerbomb as Daniel Bryan leads the CajunDome in a massive “YES! chant to end this week’s SmackDown!
