WWE Intercontinental Heavyweight Champion The Miz comes to the ring for his MizTV segment. He talks about defending his title at SummerSlam against Dolph Ziggler. The Miz introduces Roman Reigns, who comes through the crowd to a raucous reaction. During the interview, The Miz continuously puts Reigns down and cuts him off before he can respond. While sitting, Reigns decks The Miz in the face and he rolls outside the ring to leave. Reigns cuts a promo on Randy Orton. He respects Orton for winning several championships and wants the same level of respect after he beats Orton at SummerSlam.

Dean Ambrose is seen backstage walking to the ring.

-Commercial Break-

Match 1:
Dean Ambrose vs. Cesaro



Ambrose’s shoulder is heavily taped. Cesaro is working over Ambrose, using his power for the advantage. Ambrose sends Cesaro over the top rope and follows with a crossbody to the outside. Back in the ring and Cesaro gains control by throwing Ambrose’s bad shoulder into the ring post.

-Commercial Break-

Ambrose sends Cesaro outside the ring and connects with a suicide dive through the middle rope. They’re in the ring on the top rope and Ambrose bites the nose of Cesaro. He follows with a swinging DDT for a two count. They bounce off the rope and a huge clothesline by Cesaro. An uppercut by Cesaro for another two count. Ambrose gets a small package, but it’s not enough. Crowd chants “this is awesome” as they trade for back position. Ambrose lands dirty deeds out of nowhere for the three count.

Winner via pinfall: Dean Ambrose

Seth Rollins makes his way to the ramp with the Money in the Bank briefcase in hand. He talks about Ambrose’s selection for a lumberjack match at SummerSlam. Rollins says this Sunday he will prove that he’s the future of the WWE and that Ambrose was always the lesser of the two.

The Miz is talking to Kane backstage about Reigns punching him in the face earlier. Kane books The Miz vs. Reigns in tonight’s main event.

Match 2:
Dolph Ziggler vs. Titus O’Neil w/Heath Slater



Heath Slater accompanies O’Neil to the ring. Ziggler lands a dropkick. O’Neil responds with several backbreakers. O’Neil throws Ziggler into the corner and connects with a splash. A second splash by O’Neil is met with knees to the face. A big boot to the face by O’Neil and Ziggler’s body goes limp. O’Neil goes for another backbreaker and Ziggler slips over his shoulder. Ziggler with the zig zag and the win. Slater is not impressed by O’Neil.

Winner via pinfall: Dolph Ziggler

They show a replay of RAW’s Bray Wyatt and Chris Jericho interview.

Match 3:
Mark Henry w/Big Show vs. Luke Harper w/Erick Rowan



Big Show comes out with Henry and Erick Rowan is with Harper. They lockup in the center of the ring. Harper gets Henry into the corner and there’s a clean break. Some right hands by Harper and Henry throws him over the top rope with one hand. Back in the ring and a boot to the face by Harper for a two count. Big Show and Harper trade words. Harper with repeated uppercuts to Henry. Clothesline by Henry and he goes for the world’s strongest slam, but Rowan interviews. Big Show makes the save.

Winner via disqualification: Mark Henry

-Commercial Break-

During the commercial break, Director Of Operations Kane books a tag match between the four men.

Match 4:
Mark Henry and Big Show vs. The Wyatt Family (Luke Harper & Erick Rowan)



Big Show and Harper are in the ring. Harper goes outside the ring to avoid a chokeslam. Rowan clotheslines Big Show on the outside. Rowan takes control in the ring over Big Show before tagging in Harper. A superkick by Harper for a two count. A hot tag makes Henry and Rowan the legal men. Henry holds Rowan in the world’s strongest slam position. Big Show nails the knockout punch and it’s followed with the slam by Henry.

Winners via pinfall: Mark Henry and Big Show

Following the match, we see the series of events hyping Stephanie McMahon vs. Brie Bella at SummerSlam.

Match 5:
WWE Divas Champion AJ Lee vs. Eva Marie

AJ attacks Eva right away. Neckbreaker by AJ for a two count. She rips out an extension of Eva’s hair. Paige’s music hits and she skips around the ring. AJ goes after Paige outside the ring and is slamming her head repeatedly against the barrier. It leads to a count out.

Winner via countout: Eva Marie

Back in the ring, AJ walks into a kick by Paige. She follows with the Paige-turner and says she loves AJ before heading to the backstage area.

Match 6:
Jack Swagger w/Zeb Colter vs. Bo Dallas



Dallas is working over Swagger’s damaged ribs. Swagger gets the ankle lock in under a minute for the squash victory.

Winner via submission: Jack Swagger w/Zeb Colter

Swagger celebrates the win with the American flag in the ring. Lana and Rusev interrupt Swagger. Lana tells the crowd to stop chanting USA as she cuts a promo hyping SummerSlam and praises Vladimir Putin.

-Commercial Break-

During the commercial, Dallas says he never tapped out to Swagger's Patriot Lock.

Following Dallas' words, we see the video package hyping the John Cena vs. Brock Lesnar contest for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

Main Event:
Roman Reigns vs. WWE Intercontinental Heavyweight Champion The Miz



The Miz is arguing that Reigns is punching his face aka The Miz’s money maker. Reigns pulls Miz outside the ring and throws him into the barrier. Back in the ring and Miz is working on Reigns’ leg. Miz is whipping Reigns’ leg into the ring post. In the center of the ring, Miz applies the figure four leg lock. Reigns gets out and he nails the Samoan drop. Reigns goes for the superman punch, but Miz starts leaving. Dolph Ziggler stops this and Reigns gets the superman punch outside the ring. Reigns throws Miz in the ring and connects with the spear for the win.
