Detailed Results
We open with Rey Mysterio, who talks about how Kane had deceived us all into thinking someone other than himself had attacked the Undertaker nearly 3 months ago. Rey was unsuccessful in regaining the World title, but he's ready to start climbing up the ladder again.

Enter Alberto Del Rio, who finally debuts in the arena. Alberto talks down to Rey, and what we get is a main event match. Del Rio's 1st opponent will be Mysterio.

1. Intercontinental title: Dolph Ziggler vs. Kofi Kingston.

In a perfect world, Kofi should still be champion, but Vickie Guerrero's blatant interference 2 weeks ago resulted in Ziggler winning the title. After a no contest on Sunday, the two meet for the 5th time in as many weeks. Fairly even, but just as Kofi is getting some momentum, things go sour in a hurry. After a pendulum kick in the corner (miscalled as a Pele kick by Todd Grisham), Kofi goes up top, but Guerrero again butts in where she doesn't belong. Ref Aaron Mahoney calls for the bell, and no amount of bullying from the power-mad widow can change that. Winner: Kofi Kingston via DQ.

Post-match, Kofi teases going after Vickie, but hesitates. Ziggler wipes out Kingston, finishing him off with a Zig Zag and a sleeper hold.

LayCool are gloating over embarassing Melina at Summerslam, but it seems they don't care what Teddy Long has planned. Breaking the women's belt in half enables them to continue the charade of being co-champs, but in truth, that should've been stopped long ago. Hornswoggle returns to spy on the self-absorbed drama queens.

The Straight Edge Society meets backstage. Joseph Mercury got the worst of the deal vs. Big Show, it seems, but it'll be Serena, finally getting a chance to wrestle, teaming with Luke Gallows vs. Big Show & Kelly Kelly next. CM Punk, taking a page from Nexus, decides that if his first two acolytes lose, they're out of the SES!

Cody Rhodes teaches us about the use of cucumber melon facial moisturizer. La-de-freakin'-dah!

2. Straight Edge Society (Luke Gallows & Serena w/Joseph Mercury) vs. Big Show & Kelly Kelly.

The guys never tagged into this match, as it was a showcase for Serena, who finally gets to show that her offense has more than just a kick to the gut. Oh, she gets that in and gets a 2, but after Luke breaks up a pin, drawing the attention of Big Show, Kelly tries the K2, but Serena counters and hits a gutbuster for her first win. Winners: Straight Edge Society.

Kane offers an explanation for why he put Undertaker in a vegetative state nearly 3 months ago. It was the culmination of 13 years of planning (he said 15, accidentally referencing his 2 years in under different IDs, unless it's now all being tied together), and despite winning tag titles with the Phenom, Kane had been plotting all this time, waiting for the right time to strike. Pride, he claims, is what has weakened the once seemingly indestructible Dead Man, who now walks in Kane's shadow, instead of the other way around, or so the champ claims.

3. Drew McIntyre vs. Christian.

Cody Rhodes joins the announcers for commentary, and it seems an alliance has formed between the Dashing scion of Hall of Famer Dusty Rhodes and the Sinister Scotsman. Rhodes' disparaging comments toward Christian help in this direction. As was the case the last time these two met, McIntyre is bent on injuring "Capt. Charisma", working on the left shoulder. But for all of the former IC champ's scheming, Christian, the sage veteran, finds a way. McIntyre tries a running powerslam after ramming Christian shoulder-first into the turnbuckle, but Christian recovers and crucifixes McIntyre for the 3. Winner: Christian.

Rhodes leaves the desk and he & McIntyre have Christian cornered on the floor post-match. They double on Christian before Matt Hardy, a victim of McIntyre's machinations last week, hobbles out. McIntyre hits the Future Shock on Hardy. Cross-Rhodes on Christian. If I'm the Hart Dynasty, I start worrying about these two.

Jack Swagger is complaining about not being at Summerslam and losing to MVP last week, but Rosa Mendes, running in place, isn't listening to anything but her Ipod. MVP happens along and a challenge is made. If Swagger wins, he guest-hosts the VIP Lounge, but if MVP wins, he hosts a end-of-summer block party with Swagger picking up the tab!

Raw rebound, repeated from NXT, recaps Nexus' night of redemption---sort of.

4. Rey Mysterio vs. Alberto Del Rio.

For those who don't know, Del Rio was formerly Dos Caras, Jr. in Mexico, which is how he knows Mysterio. Del Rio has his own ring announcer, Ricardo Rodriguez, to enhance his gimmick as a Mexican millionaire. Sort of a poor man's Ted DiBiase, Sr., circa 1987. Del Rio gets off to a fast start, targeting the ankle of Mysterio, but it doesn't avail him at all. Rey has the upper hand as we go to break. Back from said break, Mysterio is still in control, but Del Rio turns things around, and back & forth they go. The focus shifts to Mysterio's left arm. Rey hit the 619 earlier in the show, but not here, as Del Rio blocks. Rey tries going up top, but Del Rio scoops the legs out and applies a cross-armbreaker. Mysterio taps almost immediately. Winner: Alberto Del Rio.

Post-match, Del Rio reapplies his finisher, but is forced to break under penalty of possible DQ.
