Matt Hardy's ROH Future, ROH vs TNA?

This Saturday in Hopkins, Minnesota Ring of Honor will present Aftershock which will be taped for television and feature the aftermath from Best in the World. On the card, Matt Hardy who is a member of The Kingdom with Adam Cole and Michael Bennett, will face War Machine (Raymond Rowe and Hanson) and the new ROH World Champion “Unbreakable” Michael Elgin. It is being reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that this Saturday that Saturday will be Matt Hardy’s final event for the company, as ROH officials are unhappy with Hardy’s decision to work for TNA, despite Hardy stating he’d be willing to work for both promotions.

ROH management now view TNA as direct competition due to their exchanges in recent months, with talent, events, ROH’s average attendances for the year out doing TNA’s, TNA’s decision to begin running central New York City, which ROH is viewed as the number two promotion in and TNA’s recent attempt to “raid” ROH talent, by contacting several of them including ROH World Tag Team Champions Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly, ROH World TV Champion Jay Lethal and others.
