- The dark match after tonight's WWE Main Event saw Kofi Kingston defeat Curtis Axel. This was Axel's first match in some time.

- The dark match before tonight's WWE Main Event tapings in Houston, Texas saw Tyson Kidd defeat Adam Rose with the Rosebuds.

- JBL joined Michael Cole and Byron Saxton on commentary for WWE Main Event tonight. No word yet if that's a permanent change. Cole joked that JBL only worked Main Event so he could have the rest of the week off.
