Update On Why Bully Ray May Not Return To WWE

In an update to a previous post regarding speculation that Bully Ray could be returning to WWE once his TNA deal expires, WWE has expressed no interest in returning to the promotion for years and even when his Team 3D cohort Devon was contractually available, WWE didn't make a play on the former WWE, WCW, ECW, & TNA World Tag Team Champion either.

Bully has his detractors within WWE from his previous run there, most notably Randy Orton. In conjunction with that, his age is a factor. Bully recently turned 43 this summer.

Bully could be an asset in WWE developmental working with the younger talents or as a backstage producer but WWE seemingly have those positions filled right now and they're not making unnecessary staff hires due to the ongoing budget cuts.
