More Thoughts on The Benoit Family
First I want to say thank you to all of the readers who have responded to me through comments or messages, both positive and negative, on this subject. I know that some may agree and some may not when it comes to my personal feelings, but at the end of the day, it is important to hear from readers and how you feel about not only this subject, but anything I write about.
I still can not get over any of this. And each day, one kind of hopes to wake up from the nightmare before us. I think my anger got the best of me on Tuesday when I initially wrote. I do not know if many of you know this, but I work inside the business (in such a small role that I would consider it volunteering more than working and it is a non performing role), but enough to have had discussions with people about being on the road, the sacrifices people make, being away from family, etc. I have read the new reports and timelines and everything that you have read. I still cannot condone what happened this past weekend, and I would hope that no one can, but we are at least getting a little bit of a clearer picture to understand it all. I'm sure, over time, we will learn more and more. I am still shocked and saddened by this, as many of us are. Sadly, I do not think we will ever be able to figure out exactly why this happened in that house. All we can hope for is that something such as this never happensd again in the future. But, for that to occur, there will have to be some people in high places who decide its time for there to be a change in the way professional wrestling is handled. With all the money they are making, I am not positive about that.
I am working on a story about what it would take to change the business over the next few days. Stay tuned.
