Who will win at Bound For Glory?

This week for That's My Story and I'm Sticking To It I'll be telling you who I think the winners will be at Bound For Glory. TNA has promoted Bound For Glory as the biggest TNA PPV of the year but I have to say it doesn't really seem like a major PPV and the card could probably be better. Another thing to mention before I discuss the PPV is that there are alot of gimmick matches at the PPV and it seems like TNA is trying to use too many gimmick matches to sell the PPV. The Women's Gauntlet could be an okay match and I'll pick Gail Kim to win the match. The reason I pick Gail Kim is because the match is to determine the first TNA Women's champion and Gail Kim has the wrestling skill to establish the title. Gail Kim is also probably the most solid woman wrestler on the TNA roster and it will be interesting to see what direction the Women's division goes after the PPV. The tables match might be an okay match but I don't expect anything great and the Team 3D/Steiner Brothers feud has been a really weak feud. I say this for a few different reasons, which I'm going to discuss and it might explain why I don't think this match will be a classic. The Steiner Brothers are a washed up tag team and I doubt many fans actually care about a Steiner Brothers reunion. Now don't get me wrong here, ten years ago maybe a Steiner Brothers/Team 3D feud would draw PPV buys but now with The Steiners washed up and Team 3D a former shell of the team they once were. TNA's "Tag Team Dream match" is in reality two teams that are probably past their prime. There's really no doubt The Stieners prime was years ago and they should probably retire. The argument could be made that Team 3D isn't past their prime but how many good matches has Team 3D had in TNA? I'll pick the Steiner Brothers to win the match and it will be interesting to see what feuds the teams are involved in after the PPV. The Samoa Joe/Christain match should be a good match but you would think both of these wrestlers would be in more important matches. I say this because Samoa Joe, at one point was being pushed to be TNA's top star but when Kurt Angle arrived in TNA it seems like TNA used Joe to get Angle over with the TNA audience and it might make more sense if Joe was in the main event. Christain has continued to have a solid run in TNA but since losing the title it almost seems like TNA doesn't know what storylines to have Christain involved in when he isn't the champion. The point here is it seems like TNA has Joe v.s. Christain because they don't have any other spot for them in the company. Joe has feuded with Angle and Christain has feuded with Sting so it doesn't seem like either Joe or Christain will be in the main event spot light any time soon. That being said, I will pick Samoa Joe to win the match and I think TNA definitely needs to give Samoa Joe a title run because he's one of the younger stars that could help carry TNA into the future. There has been too many Ultimate X matches and the match doesn't have as much effect as it did when it debuted but I think LAX v.s. Triple X could steal the show at Bound For Glory. It's a logical statement when you consider the four athletes that will be involved in the match and there will probably be some crazy spots during the match. Elix Skipper was almost released from TNA and keeping him on the roster was one of the few wise decisions TNA has made in recent months. Homicide is a great wrestler and if TNA's booking doesn't hold him back he should have a bright future in TNA but if you consider TNA's booking the chances are Homicide probably won't get the push he deserves. Low Ki has alot of wrestling skill and Hernandez is really agile for being a heavy weight wrestler. The combination of these wrestlers should be a great match and I will pick LAX to win the match. The Monster's Ball match should be a good match and there should be some good hardcore action during the match. Raven is in the match and it's cool to see Raven wrestling on a regular basis again because Raven had some health problems a few months ago. Raven's stable didn't really get over due to TNA's booking but Raven can still add alot to a show. The Black Reign character might have worked five years ago but Black Reign is past his prime. I've said it before and I'll say it again TNA should do more with Rhino. He could be a main event star and he definitely has the skill to be a champion but TNA didn't really give him a chance to show that he can be a legitimate champion. Abyss is probably the best heavy weight wrestler in pro wrestling today and he can have good matches will anyone. I'll pick Abyss to win the match because he will probably continue to feud with Judas Mecedas when he returns to the ring. The X Division title match should be a good match but it's tough to pick a winner. Jay Lethal is finally getting a push again but was made to look like a jobber a few weeks ago on Impact when Team 3D put him through a table. Christopher Daniels had a run as X Division champion but it's always possible he could win the title again. I'll pick Jay Lethal to retain the title and I think the feud will continue after the PPV. The tag team title match is ridiculous and it's ridiculous that Pacman is a tag team champion. I'll pick A.J. Styles and Tomko to win the titles because it's been reported on internet sites that Pacman is only appearing in TNA until Bound For Glory. The Kurt Angle/Sting match might be a good match but I don't expect a classic match. I'll pick Sting to win for a few reasons. TNA has pushed Angle as champion for a few months and it might be title for another wrestler to hold the gold. I'm sure most people have read that Angle was arrested for DUI and that can't be good for any company when the champion is arrested for DUI so it might be a wise move for Sting to win the title. Overall I think Bound For Glory will be a good PPV. Until next week That's My Story and I'm Sticking To It Dr. Wrestling If you have comments or questions e mail me drwrestlingallpro@yahoo.com
