Who will win at Survivor Series?

This week for That's My Story and I'm Sticking To It I'll be telling you who I think the winners will be at Survivor Series. There's a ten woman elimination match and it might be an okay match but how many classic ten person tag matches have you seen? The answer is probably not many and I think that's because a match can't really develop a pace during a ten person tag match. Since there's too many wrestlers to mention I'll just get to the prediction and I think Beth Phoenix’s team will win the match. The Great Khali/Hornswoggle match really shows how ridiculous pro wrestling can get but despite how ridiculous it is I'll still discuss the match and pick a winner. There's two possibilities for this match. If Hornswoggle wins it's basically just a comedy match and even though The Great Khali is terrible losing to Hornswoggle would basically make his character useless for any legitimate feud in the future. If The Great Khali wins it could be a way for the WWE to write Hornswoggle out of Raw because they might not have anything left for him to do on Raw and let's be honest here, how many more times can The Coach chase around Hornswoggle? I'll pick Hornswoggle to win the match but that's more of a guess then a solid prediction because this match is really too ridiculous to make a solid prediction. The ECW title match could be a good match but you can't really expect much when The Miz is wrestling in a match. I'll pick CM Punk to retain the title for a few different reasons and one of those reasons is that The Miz and John Morrison won the WWE Tag Team titles on Smackdown so it wouldn't really make sense for the WWE to have either one of them win two titles. Another reason being that CM Punk is probably the most solid wrestler in ECW and even though a few might argue that Morrison could be the top star on ECW I don't think Punk will be suspended for violating the WWE Wellness Policy so it seems like the WWE will have Punk continue to have the title for atleast a few more months. A side note to The Miz and Morrison winning the WWE tag titles. It was announced a few weeks ago that there was some what of a "talent merger" with ECW and Smackdown. The Miz and Morrison winning the WWE tag titles could be an attempt for the WWE to try to get a better rating for ECW but it's going to take alot more then The Miz being a tag team champion to get a better rating for ECW. Raw stars have also made recent appearances on ECW and combine that with the "talent merger" with Smackdown it really shows how terrible ECW has become as a brand. Now don't get me wrong here, I think CM Punk is one of the best young stars in the WWE but I don't think Punk as champion is enough to help the ECW brand overall. Considering there's only two ECW originals left, it's obvious that ECW is basically a roster of mostly mid card Raw and Smackdown wrestlers. There's no doubt that John Morrison is a talented wrestler and the CM Punk/Morrison matches have been good matches but The Miz shouldn't be wrestling for any title. It's almost comical that the WWE has The Miz in the title picture for the ECW title. What about Elijah Burke? If there's ANYONE that thinks The Miz is a better wrestler then Elijah Burke e mail me and let me know because I don't think there's really any reason The Miz is wrestling in the title picture or on PPV. Seriously, who wants to pay $40 to watch The Miz wrestle? It's been reported on internet sites that a World Tag Team title match could be added to the PPV and it hasn't been added to the card according to WWE.com but I'll discuss the match just incase it's added to the card. The match is rumored to be Hardcore Holly and Cody Rhodes v.s. Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch. If it's added to the PPV it should be a solid match and the storyline is also developing into a decent storyline. Finally it seems like the WWE has found a storyline for Holly that he can add something to and I think if the storyline is done right it could help push Cody Rhodes. If the match is added to the PPV I'll pick Cade and Murdoch to retain the titles because I think the feud will continue after the PPV. The ten man traditional elimination match could be a good match but again how many classic ten man tag matches have you seen? Even though it probably won't be a classic with the match featuring alot of the top talent in the WWE it should be an entertaining match. Again with there being so many wrestlers in the match I'm not going to discuss alot of detail about the match but I'll pick Triple H's team to win the match. The Cell match should be a good match and it has the potential to steal the show. If you've read some of my past columns you know I'm not a fan of Batista but he really stepped his game up for the match at Wrestlemania 23 and I'd expect the same at Survivor Series when he's in the ring with The Undertaker. The only thing that might be something working against this match is the history of the cell. There's alot of expectations for a cell match because of the past cell matches with Mick Foley v.s. The Undertaker being the most notable match, which set a standard for the brutality of a cell match but there's probably no way ANYONE could top what Mick did in the cell match. Even though there's alot of expectations for a cell match I think The Undertaker and Batista will have a good match at Survivor Series. As for a winner I'll pick The Undertaker because I think he still deserves a solid title run and it could help Smackdown. The WWE title match should be a good match but it's tough to pick a winner. Edge has been advertised to return at Survivor Series but Edge isn't involved in a match at Survivor Series. It's been ten years since the Montreal incident and could Edge return to cost HBK the WWE title? Edge is Canadian and so is Bret Hart. If Edge cost HBK the title at Survivor Series it could lead to an Edge/HBK feud. I'll pick Randy Orton to retain the title but that's more of a guess then a solid prediction. Overall I think Survivor Series will be a good PPV. Until next week That's My Story and I'm Sticking To It Dr. Wrestling If you have comments or questions e mail me drwrestlingallpro@yahoo.com
