The Quad Cities Silverbacks and New York Pitbulls will face off in the finals for the IFL 2007 championship on Sept 20, 2007 @ 7:30pm at the Seminole Hard Rock Casino in Hollywood, Florida.

In the heavyweight slot for the Pitbulls will be former UFC heavyweight champion Ricco Rodriguez. Rodriguez will be facing the Silverback's Ben Rothwell who is undefeated in 2007. Rothwell (26-5) has dominated the heavyweight division, but Rodriguez (26-6) has the experience and solid wrestling ability to go toe to toe with him. This could be the comeback Rodriguez has been needing, or a huge stepping stone for Rothwell.
