It has been recently announced that Joe Stevenson will face B.J. Penn for the interim world lightweight championship to headline UFC 81 @ Metroradio Arena in Newscastle England on Saturday, January 19, 2008.

Gabriel Gonzaga will also face Fabricio Werdum in a heavyweight bout on the undercard.
