Hardcore Holly vs. CM Punk. The last time
these two tangled, Punk was challenged to try to make Holly
tap in 3:00. It didn't happen, and both have had three weeks
to prepare. Punk went for the Anaconda Vice too early in the
match, and it would ultimately cost him. Holly hit a dropkick
for a near fall, and thwarted Punk's last chance by hotshotting
him on the top rope, then ramming him into the ring post.
One Alabama Slam later, it was over.Winner: Hardcore Holly.
Elijah Burke issues an open challenge, promising to knock
someone out. Muhammad Ali he's not, but he gets the Sandman,
who absorbs two quick jabs and answers with two cane shots.
Burke flees.
Great Khali vs. Tommy Dreamer [Extreme Rules Match]
With Khali leaving for Raw, he leaves Dreamer something to
remember him by: another squash. Daivari made a cameo appearance
trying to interfere, and took a street sign to the face. Khali
knocked said sign out of Dreamer's hand, and hit the chokebomb
to end it. Winner: Great Khali.
Kevin Thorn vs. Shannon Moore. The best thing
about this match was Ariel. How many vampires have you seen
in the movies who have either pigtails or dress in plaid and
look that hot? Moore did nothing of note, and was quickly
squashed. Brad Armstrong made fun of Moore's retro-Mohawk.
The Dark Kiss, a diamond cutter off the top, won it for Thorn.
Winner: Kevin Thorn.
Bobby Lashley vs. Rob Van Dam.[ECW World Championship
Match] For the 2nd straight week, these two left
everything in the arena and then some. Van Dam went for the
spinning legdrop off the apron, with Lashley on the announce
table, but this time Lashley moved, and Van Dam hit the table,
then sold it as if he'd blown out a hamstring. Lashley hit
the spear, then went for the dominator before Test made the
predictable run-in and waffled Lashley with the chair, prompting
ref Scott Armstrong (Brad's brother) to call for the bell.
Test also took out RVD.Winner: Bobby Lashley via DQ. |
