Match 1: Elijah Burke vs. Jimmy Wang Yang Joey dutifully plugs Burke's appearance on "Ghost Hunters"' annual live Halloween show tomorrow night. Also the 2nd straight year an ECW star has appeared on "Ghost Hunters", as it was CM Punk last year. Anyway, Yang's the latest to come through the pipeline that is the ECW-Smackdown Talent Exchange. Very good opener. Great spot when Burke came off the top, only to be met by a spin kick from Yang. Joey & Tazz debated the merits of Burke's self-promotion as the most charismatic and skilled performer on the roster. Well, he's not the champ----yet. Finish saw Yang miss the moonsault, but land on his feet. Burke rammed him shoulder first into the turnbuckle, then hit the Express. Adios. Winner: Elijah Burke.

Kane promo for the Monster Mash battle royal that serves as our main event. They haven't used the distorted POV since he first unmasked 4 years ago. Good stuff.

Raw rebound from last night involving HBK, Randy Orton, Umaga, & HHH. Smell a tag match with those four for next week.

"Count Dracula" (Nunzio) is leading a group of trick-or-treaters through the backstage area. Balls Mahoney & CM Punk hand out candy, but then they reach Boogeyman's dressing room. Nunzio flees, and the kids get worms. Gah-ross!

Match 2: Nunzio vs. Tommy Dreamer (Extreme rules trick-or-treat match) Nunzio, as already outlined, is dressed as Dracula. Dreamer comes strutting out as.....Paul Heyman. Tazz & Joey can't say their former boss' name, but the commentary is rife with humorous bits nonetheless. Dreamer loses the padding, then the Yankee cap, then the do-rag that serves as a skullcap, before it's over. This was hilarious. Nunzio grabs a pumpkin that Tommy tossed at him earlier, but slips on the floor before reaching his target. Dreamer forces Nunzio to bob for apples the hard way, then empties the tub and uses it for a running dropkick while Nunzio is in the tree of woe. One Evenflow DDT later, and it's over. I guess this was a left-handed homage to Heyman, after all. Winner: Tommy Dreamer.

We recap last night's diva battle royal, which would explain why Kelly Kelly, in particular, isn't here.

Match 3: John Morrison vs. Mike Mizanin (#1 contender's match) Winner faces CM Punk for the title next week. I'm not so sure the fans really care who wins. Anyway, this deserved more time than it got, and that gets said a lot around here these days. Miz took it to Morrison early, but couldn't quite put him away. The Reality Check was countered into a rollup for 2, but Miz got a near fall right back. He came charging at Morrison again, but the former champ answered with a thrust kick to the gut, then the corkscrew neckbreaker. Winner: John Morrison.

Mark Henry promo. Still thinks he's king of the jungle. The narrator is the same guy who did the Karloff impersonation in promo'ing tonight's show on Raw last night.

Big Daddy V vidpack. He's got the "home field", since ECW is his current base of operations, but will he come out of this a winner?

John Morrison joins the announcers for the next match.....

Match 4: CM Punk vs. James Curtis (non-title) Squashola. Curtis (KC James) was last seen getting similarly dismissed by Kevin Thorn a few weeks ago. Thorn, for what it's worth, is conspicuous by his absence tonight, of all nights. Punk wins again with the Go To Sleep, but apparently, Curtis wasn't exactly selling too well, and Punk pushed him down to the canvas. Winner: CM Punk.

The champion didn't have time to celebrate, as Morrison left the desk and ambushed him, laying him out with the corkscrew neckbreaker.

Match 5: Kane vs. Big Daddy V (w/Matt Striker) vs. Mark Henry vs. Great Khali (w/Runjin Singh)(Monster Mash battle royal) With Boogeyman in the house, maybe they'll let him come out and play? Nope, guess not. His calf injury is what keeps him on the sidelines. Anyway, Kane is the only babyface in the match, which tells you something right there. After failing to gang up on Big Red, Big Daddy and Henry begin to square off, leaving Kane & Khali going at it. Later, Kane & Henry change partners and continue the tussle. Big Daddy misses a corner charge on Kane, and Kane uses that to his advantage, with the ropes acting as a fulcrum, he dumps BDV over the top. Henry & Kane unite long enough to dump Khali, which says something about Khali's present status in the pecking order. Now, it's down to Big Red and the Olympic Powerhouse. Kane goes up top, looking for the clothesline, but Henry catches him and tosses him over the side. Winner: Mark Henry.
