There's trouble brewing in the Angle household after last week. Karen was "married", and I use the word loosely here, to AJ Styles. Kurt is not digging, of course, and feels embarassed. He argues with Karen, and blows off Jeremy Borash's attempt to mediate. Karen leaves, presumably to be with AJ, while Kurt prepares for his main event match against old nemesis Booker T.....

Match 1: AJ Styles & Tomko vs. Kip James & Bob Armstrong (w/BG James) (TNA tag titles) 11 days ago at Against All Odds, "Bullet" Bob teamed with his son BG (Brian) against the tag champs, but BG is on the shelf with a hyperextended knee. Just the same, BG accompanies his team to ringside to lend moral support. A couple of minutes in, Karen comes out to ringside and be in the champs' corner. Armstrong, pushing toward 70, gives it a valiant effort, and dodges a collision between the champs. Kip has BG throw one of his crutches to him. However, Kip uses this opportunity to let his true feelings out, and cracks Armstrong in the back with the crutch. Tomko rolls over to make the cover. Winners: AJ Styles & Tomko.

Post-match, BG crawls in with his other crutch, and Kip kicks it away, then breaks the crutch across BG's back. A partnership that has lasted a little more than 10 years, is now history. For now, anyway.

Crystal is backstage with ODB & Gail Kim, who've patched up their diffs from last week (we think) for their match vs. Roxxi Laveaux & Jackie Moore coming up later. They're willing to go through anyone to get at Awesome Kong for the women's title. They leave, and Karen & AJ come along. Karen is so smitten with AJ that she's willing to go along with their "marriage" and take AJ off on their "honeymoon". Styles, of course, is a little oblivious to it all, uncertain of whether or not the union is really legal. If I'm AJ, I'd be worried, too.

Crystal is now with Kip, who claims he hates everybody. I think George Strait wrote a song with that title once. He addresses BG as "Brian" and tells him that he values friendship more than anything, but BG threw that away in favor of his dad. He knows what he has in front of him, but is BG ready for what Kip has in store for him?

Jim Cornette, Matt Morgan, Sonjay Dutt, & the Motor City Machineguns are in the ring. Cornette brings out Jay Lethal for a special interview. It's more like they're paying homage to the X division champ. Saaaaaaluuuuute! Lethal, in his own voice, cuts a promo putting over Christopher Daniels, Jerry Lynn, & AJ Styles as founders of the X division, and gives Dutt and the Guns their props. He calls So Cal Val to the ring, and asks her out on a date, dropping to a knee to do so. Val accepts. Dutt, standing behind Val, isn't too pleased, as he sees his best friend get exactly what he's been hoping for (and what Dutt wanted as well). I guess they're finally going to turn Sonjay heel out of jealousy, but we'll see.

Backstage, Crystal is with Kaz, who faces Rellik later. Kaz points out that his feud with Black Reign started after a match he had against Rellik, but before he can finish the thought, Eric Young, who lost to Rellik last week, shows up, trying to discourage Kaz. However, Kaz corrects Eric, reminding that Rellik is as much a man as they are......

Cornette returns to his office, again trying to sign Samoa Joe to a new deal. Joe, however, is holding off until he becomes TNA champion, and to do that, he intends to systematically eliminate the Angle Alliance to get Kurt all alone at Lockdown in April.

Match 2: Rellik vs. Kaz Last week, it appeared as though Rellik had turned the corner, inching his way toward contention for a title shot. Well, that would be nice, but we're just fooling ourselves. He tries to block Kaz's entree into the ring, but Kaz works around that and lights up Rellik with chops & kicks. Rellik hits the Cobra Clutch, but Kaz climbs the turnbuckles and springs back, knocking Rellik on his back and gets the fall. Winner: Kaz.

After the match, Black Reign, unwilling to end hostilities with Kaz, attacks. Kaz fights off Reign & Rellik initially, but the numbers prove to be too much. Young comes down, but stops when the heels lock eyes on him. He waits until they leave before finally checking on Kaz.

Crystal is with Booker T, who cuts a promo on both Kurt Angle and Robert Roode. It's mentioned that if Roode doesn't show up by Destination X on 3/9, he'll be suspended indefinitely. Kinda like belling the cat after he's out the door, know what I mean?

Match 3: Sonjay Dutt vs. Petey Williams vs. Johnny Devine (#1 contender's match for the X title) This deserved more time than it got. We say that quite a lot about matches in TNA, and often it's true. Devine, the former champion, started by attacking both of his opponents, but that was the extent of his offense. He thought about leaving, but his path was blocked by Scott Steiner & Rocka Khan, who came down to the ring. Williams backdropped Dutt out of the ring, and Steiner cracked the Guru in the back of the head with one of the briefcases. With Khan holding the attention of ref Earl Hebner, Steiner punched out Devine, and Williams cradled Devine to get the win. Winner: Petey Williams.

Post-match, Steiner & Williams reformed their alliance with a handshake. Hesitant on Williams' part, yes, but Steiner gestured that he could lead Petey to the promised land. Suuuuuuuure.

For the rest of the show, Jeremy Borash is armed with a camera to record AJ & Karen's "honeymoon". All I'm going to say is that this is something Kurt wanted to do in WWE 8 years ago, but couldn't.

"Earlier today", Mike Tenay sat down with Rhino. Pretty much more of the same as Rhino's promo last week on James Storm. He holds Storm responsible for what the War Machine's done of late, a bad influence that he needs to expunge.

Crystal is with Shark Boy & Curry Man. Curry & Crystal get down and boogie briefly to Curry's music, and he cuts a quick promo in a perfect Japanese accent. Sharky isn't able to translate, but he threatens to beat up his partner if he doesn't hold up his end of the bargain........

Match 4: Curry Man & Shark Boy vs. Brother Ray (w/Devon & Johnny Devine) For the 2nd straight week, a member of Team 3D can't make weight. This time, it's Devon. In reality, neither he nor Ray could make weight, but the stipulation at Against All Odds has been wasted with this farce. Ray goes it alone this time, but it's pretty much a repeat of what we saw last week. Ray & Devon simply trade places. Despite the abuse he took in the last match, Devine is right back out to contribute to his cause. Late in the match, after Shark Boy takes a hot tag, Curry cuts off Devine trying to break up a pin, then hits a cross-body on the floor. Devon grabs the scale, but is caught and hit with the Chopper (Stone Cold Stunner, natch). Ray grabs the scale and cracks Sharky right between the eyes, then flops down to pretend to be down and out himself, only to move over to make the pin as ref Mark Johnson took forever getting Devon out of the ring. Winner: Brother Ray.

Crystal interviews Kurt Angle, who doesn't really care about AJ & Karen right now. He cuts a counter-promo on Booker T, claiming TNA is "his house". Oh, stop the pain already! He refers to his opponents at Destination X (Samoa Joe, Kevin Nash, & Christian Cage) as the Three Stooges. Not funny.

AJ & Karen go to Gatorland. I guess AJ's been there before, because he knows the gators by name. Karen seems to enjoy his company, a contrast to the self-centered Kurt.

Match 5: Ms. Jacqueline & Roxxi Laveaux vs. ODB & Gail Kim Jackie Moore is going back to answering to "Ms. Jacqueline", just as she did in WCW before going to WWE nearly a decade ago. The story in this match, though, is whether or not ODB & Gail can get along, clarifying their remarks from earlier. Pretty even match, and we get to see a little more life & personality out of Roxxi, now that she's away from the now-defunct Voodoo Kin Mafia. Turning point of the match sees Roxxi pull ODB into the path of a missile dropkick from Gail. Jackie takes ODB out, and Roxxi takes Gail down & out with one fluid motion on a snap fallaway slam. Winners: Ms. Jacqueline & Roxxi Laveaux.

After the match, Gail & ODB have another fight, this one taking them all the way to the back when security can't control them.

Crystal is with Christian Cage, Kevin Nash, & Samoa Joe. Cage does all the talking. He affirms that it was AJ Styles with a chair who took him out last week. At Destination X, the unlikely threesome will put an end to the Angle Alliance, or so Cage believes.

AJ & Karen have moved to the hotel, but AJ is still confused about it all, and goes into his room alone, leaving Karen on the outside, seemingly smitten.

Match 6: Kurt Angle vs. Booker T (non-title) These two have fought many times before in WWE, but this is their first singles meeting in TNA. As you might expect, it's pretty even from the opening bell. Booker hits a superkick early on, then follows up with a standing roundhouse kick instead of going for the pin at that juncture. He gets a 2 after the roundhouse, but that could've been the end right then and there. Booker spends too much time playing to the crowd---uncharacteristic of Booker, in fact---and keeps letting Kurt hang around. Near the end of the match, Booker has Angle primed for an axe kick, but Robert Roode, whom we were told wouldn't be there, shows up and Booker pounds him back to the floor. Kurt sneaks in and hits the Olympic Slam. Winner: Kurt Angle.

Post-match, it's now a double team on Booker, but then Christian Cage comes out and evens the sides. That allows Booker to continue his fight with Roode, and they start to brawl toward the back. Samoa Joe & Kevin Nash come down, and Angle is chased from the ring as Tomko comes back out, now in civvies. Nash cuts a promo, challenging Angle for next week, to end the show.
