Jeremy Borash welcomes us to this week's show, but is interrupted by Konnan, who promises a surprise for Team 3D later tonight. Meanwhile, Team Angle is in the ring, and the heat is on Kurt Angle to reveal who the final member of the team is going to be. Sting referred to Samoa Joe as "the killer" and Angle as "the shooter". Angle told Joe not to question his integrity, which is silly considering how often he compromised it in WWE. He promised the 5th man would be revealed by the end of the show.

After the open, Kevin Nash is in the ring to introduce "Black Machismo" Jay Lethal, who now is wearing one of Randy Savage's old outfits, or at least a replica of same. Funny thing is, Mike Tenay & Don West can't mention Savage's name!

"Black Machismo" Jay Lethal vs. Chris Sabin (non-title). Sabin puts up the X title in an Xscape match at Lockdown, but needed a solid showing here to build momentum. Lethal spent too much time playing to the crowd, demonstrating his Macho Mannerisms. He did the flying hotshot over the top, but it came off a little sloppy. Sabin went for the Cradle Shock, but Lethal countered out. Lethal used the Lethal Combination to set up a top rope elbow drop to pick up the win and the momentum headed into Lockdown. Winner: "Black Machismo" Jay Lethal.

Letitia is with Team Cage, and Christian Cage is so not digging the stipulation that the winner of the fall in the Lethal Lockdown match earns a title shot at Sacrifice next month. Same old tired rhetoric about how Jim Cornette is against him and all that jazz. Borash finds Eric Young sitting in a corner, but before he can talk, Robert Roode interrupts and berates both Borash & Young. James Storm gets in a few choice words.

Robert Roode (w/Ms. Brooks) & Jackie Moore vs. Petey Williams & Gail Kim. Gail is billed as hailing from Tampa. She goes after Jackie right away and the fight is on. Roode gets in a back suplex on Kim which all but takes her out of the match. Backup ref Andrew Thomas checks on her, but she doubles back to the ring and starts it up with Moore again. Rudy Charles has his hands full trying to separate the ladies. Roode rolls up Williams, his former teammate in Team Canada, and adds a handful of tights, thanks to a timely distraction from Storm. Winners: Robert Roode & Jackie Moore. Post-match, the assault continues until first Chris Harris, then Young, wielding a chair, come down to make the save. Roode forces Young to drop the chair, and Brooks tugs on Eric's ear as they leave.

LAX has abducted Brother Runt and bring him to the ring. Despite Brother Ray's pleas, Konnan uses a taser gun on Runt. To me, that's the most disgusting thing in TNA's short history. Meanwhile, Borash tries to get a word from Christopher Daniels, who just points his baseball bat at Borash at the mere mention of Sting.

AJ Styles vs. Samoa Joe. The winner of this one earns a man advantage for his side in Lethal Lockdown. It's nothing like the great series of matches these two had over the X title a year ago, but it does come close to achieving that level of greatness. Turning point in the match comes when Styles pulls ref Andrew Thomas in the path of a kick by Joe. Joe applies the Kokina Clutch, but there is no ref to record the tap out. Cage brings his team down. Angle does the same and we have a brawl on the floor. Jeff Jarrett's music hits, and the former champion comes down with his trusty guitar. He extends an open hand to Joe to signal "5" and whacks Styles with the guitar. Jingles may be a babyface now, but that guitar still has to go. Joe moves in for the pin as Thomas recovers, oblivious to what's happened. Both sides can't believe what's happened, but Angle now has his full team. Winner: Samoa Joe.
