Street Fight: Gail Kim def.
Jackie Moore
Sting & Kurt Angle def. A.J. Styles &
Christian Cage |
|
|
| Detailed Results |
Impact opens with a recap of last week's key issues. After
the opening music, Sting makes his way down to the ring, but
Kurt Angle is waiting for him, and they have to be separated
by security and referees. Christian Cage is watching this
in the back, and decides to take some action of his own. He
comes out and proposes that Sting & Angle team against
him & AJ Styles later. If they win, either Sting or Angle,
whomever scores the fall, earns the title shot vs. Cage in
10 days at Sacrifice. If he & Styles win, no title shot
for Sting & Angle.
Letitia is with Team 3D, who will face LAX and Tomko &
Scott Steiner at Sacrifice, but tonight, it's Rhino &
Samoa Joe. Ray puts over Joe & Rhino as 2 of the toughest
men in the business.
Samoa Joe & Rhino vs. Team 3D (non-title).
Decent opener, ruined by a run-in by Christopher Daniels,
who doesn't have issues with any of the 4. He hit Rhino with
the bat, then Ray, but as he tried to escape, Daniels ran
right into Joe and the Kokina Clutch. Joe throws Daniels back
in. Rhino & Ray set up Daniels for the Whassup headbutt.
They get a table into the ring. Daniels staggers back to his
feet, but Rhino blows right by the tag champs and gores Daniels
through the table. Winner: None. Match ruled a No Contest.
Robert Roode wants to fire Eric Young. Jim Cornette comes
out instead. Traci Brooks has a neck brace on to sell getting
hit with a guitar by Jeff Jarrett last week, plus a power
bomb from Young. Cornette says Young breached his contract
when he signed (under duress) with Roode, but instead of further
persecuting Eric, Cornette decides that Roode tampered with
TNA-contracted talent. Roode pushes Cornette down. Young finally
shows up and fights with Roode. Young pulls a guitar out from
under the ring. Roode with a DDT before Eric can use it. Young
is handcuffed to a corner, and gets the guitar upside the
head. Cornette announces Roode-Jarrett for Sacrifice.
Gail Kim vs. Jackie Moore (streetfight).
Return match from Lockdown, except this time there's no cage.
Too short. The highlight was when Gail stuck a trash can over
Jackie's head and whacked the cage with a kendo stick. Jackie
gets a chair, but Gail dropkicks the chair into Jackie and
earns another pinfall. Winner: Gail Kim.
James Storm comes out and they double on
Gail until Chris Harris makes the save. Off comes the eyepatch,
as Harris "has his full eyesight back". Now, the
playing field is leveled for Sacrifice and the Texas Death
Match..
Jim Mitchell says he's found a replacement for Abyss. I'll
believe it when I see it. Christy Hemme has another team ready
for Voodoo Kim Mafia at Sacrifice. Kip James sticks his armpit
in her face. Pathetic. Alex Shelley records a fight between
Chris Sabin & Bob Backlund. What could that have been
about?
AJ Styles & Christian Cage vs. Sting & Kurt
Angle (no-DQ). About what you'd expect, but just
not enough time alotted. Sting pressed Cage overhead, then
dropped the champion behind him. Sting hit the Scorpion Death
Drop, but Angle broke up the pin, seeking the glory for himself.
It ends with Sting & Angle with a double anklelock on
Styles, who taps with both hands.Winners: Sting & Kurt
Angle. |
