Match 1: Hornswoggle vs. Vince McMahon No opening music tonight, as we're going straight to our first match, a No-DQ match made by Mr. McMahon last week. There isn't too much to this one, though, given the size differential. They try a collar & elbow lock-up, and Vince shoves 'Swoggle down not once but twice, then drops to his knees, mocking the former cruiser champion. Finlay comes down, defying the insane chairman's orders from last week. Vince grabs a mic and berates Finlay, bringing up the Fighting Irishman's own family back in Belfast. He then tries to sell to 'Swoggle the idea that Finlay is actually a coward. Oh, that did it. 'Swoggle gets shoved aside, and Finlay clocks Vince with the shillelagh. One tadpole splash later, and this farce is over! Winner: Hornswoggle.

Once again, Vince has brought this on himself, but will he follow through on his threat to fire Finlay? Stay tuned.

Backstage, Vince is being attended to by the training staff when William Regal comes over. McMahon has him draw up dismissal papers for Finlay.

Match 2: John Bradshaw Layfield vs. Chris Jericho Return match from the Royal Rumble. It's also the first of two matches involving contestants in Raw's Elimination Chamber match at No Way Out. Pretty even at the start, given that once again, there's a significant size differential. After a commercial break, JBL has Jericho down, but not quite out after 2 short clotheslines. A sleeper nets just a 2 as JBL puts Jericho on the mat. However, Y2J comes back with a vengeance. He counters the Last Call fallaway slam with a DDT, but can only get 2 as Layfield forces a rope break. Missile dropkick off the middle rope also gets 2. JBL seems to get a 2nd wind and sets up for the Clothesline from Hell, but Jericho sidesteps, sending Layfield into the turnbuckle. JBL then walks right into the Code Breaker. Ballgame. Winner: Chris Jericho.

Post-match, Umaga came out and attacked first Jericho, then Layfield, who supposedly bought Umaga's help in the Chamber.

Mike Adamle summarizes the matchup later between John Cena and Mark Henry.

The Cena-Randy Orton feud is recapped up through last week.

Regal has drawn up the papers, but Vince has a change of heart. He's decided that firing is too good for Finlay, considering the Fighting Irishman will be in an Elimination Chamber on Sunday. Next week, it will be Vince-Hornswoggle II, this time in a steel cage!

Match 3: Paul Burchill (w/Katie Lea-Burchill) vs. Brian Kendrick Paul Burchill is finally back on the main roster, and back to being a heel. Katie, his "sister", was ID'd on the TitanTron and the on-screen graphic as Katie Lea, but she introduced herself as "Katie Burchill". She's a former OVW women's champion, and should figure to challenge for the WWE version of the title soon enough. When last we saw Paul, he was a pirate on Smackdown, and was sidelined after a beatdown from Mark Henry. That was nearly 2 years ago. He's got a face like Val Venis and hair like his late countryman Davey Boy Smith. I digress. Kendrick takes the fight right to Paul, scoring with a flying forearm in the corner. However, a missed cross-body block turns the tide in favor of the London native, who hits a surfboard faceplant, setting up a roll of the dice neckbreaker, making it a successful return. Winner: Paul Burchill.

Match 4: John Cena vs. Mark Henry Henry is announced as weighing 410. Randy Orton joins the announcers for this one, so sure is he that Henry will prevail, that the champion declares that the Olympian will make his job easier come Sunday. Unfortunately, that idle boasting jinxes Henry instead. Mark puts a full nelson on Cena, but instead of increasing the pressure, Henry releases and clubs the former champion in the back of the head. Cena staggers to a corner where Henry had ripped off a turnbuckle cover earlier. Henry charges, and runs right into the exposed steel. Cena hits a flying shoulder tackle, then goes right to the STFU. For the 2nd time in "10 days", Henry taps out. Winner: John Cena.

Post-match, Cena comes to the desk and cuts a promo on Orton, claiming to be 100% ready for Sunday. He leaves Orton fuming as we go to break.

Mr. Kennedy is out next, and cuts a short promo before calling out Ric Flair. But if Kennedy was thinking Flair would forfeit their match at No Way Out and retire, he's sadly mistaken. Flair cuts a money promo on Kennedy, and it sounds like the same speech that he's given in the locker room before, based on Kennedy's reaction. 16 World titles over 35 years says that Flair won't forfeit anything any time soon. Kennedy, however, has the last word, leaving Flair lying in the ring after a low dropkick to the left knee that was already "injured" courtesy of MVP on Smackdown "10 days ago".

Match 5: Melina (w/Jillian Hall) vs. Maria (w/Santino Marella) Two weeks ago, Maria scored a rare singles win by upsetting the former women's champion. Tonight, however, is a different story, as Melina has Jillian to even the sides. The tone-deaf warbler proves to be the difference. As Maria has Melina down for a pin, Jillian begins to sing, but then turns her attention to Marella, who is at the desk, and kisses him. Distracted, Maria is easy prey for a schoolgirl rollup and a handful of tights. Winner: Melina.

Post-match, Santino apologizes, but then turns around and cuts another anti-Playboy promo, citing injuries to Candice Michelle, Torrie Wilson (both currently on the DL), and Ashley Massaro (recently activated) as reason for not posing. However, he gives Maria a week to decide. They make out in the ring, but Santino leaves Maria behind to think it over. We all know what the answer's going to be, kids.

As was reported elsewhere, John Cena is doing a commercial for Gillette Fusion with some NASCAR drivers. We're on the set for a quick peek.

JR & the King run down the No Way Out card.

Match 6: Jeff Hardy vs. Shawn Michaels (non-title) Easily the match of the night. The two touch fists to start, and Michaels goes right on the attack with a knife-edge chop that gets him a quick 2. Back and forth they go, trading falls and heat. Hardy ran the barrier, past sign guy Rick Achbarger, only to be met with a powerslam on the floor. Late in the match, Michaels applied his modified figure four, but Hardy forced a rope break. Michaels came back, but Hardy kicked him aside twice. Michaels went for the superkick, but Hardy blocked and hit the Twist of Fate, then quickly went upstairs and landed the Swanton Bomb to end it. Winner: Jeff Hardy.
