Tonight's show begins with footage from the Wrestlemania press conference, MC'd by Smackdown's Jonathan Coachman.

Match 1: Big Show vs. Jay Garland & Joey Ryan Squashola x 2. It's unusual to have a rent-a-jobber match to start the show, but here it is. Garland was taken out with the chokeslam. After Michael Cole brought up Show's intent to pursue boxing after leaving WWE in December '06, Show demonstrates some of the sweet science on Ryan, formerly of Wrestling Society X, finishing him off with a straight right hand punch. Winner: Big Show.

WWE is hooking up again with the Make A Wish Foundation. Raw's John Cena is representin' for the WWE.

Match 2: Deuce 'N' Domino (w/Cherry) vs. Shannon Moore & Jimmy Wang Yang It sucks to be the former tag team champions. They've had a steady diet not only of Moore & Yang, but also Jesse & Festus, of late. You have to wonder if, not when, Deuce 'N' Domino will get back to the winner's circle. Same match we've seen before between these four, same result, except this time it's Deuce who falls victim to a Yang moonsault. Winners: Shannon Moore & Jimmy Wang Yang.

Edge & Vicki Guerrero are backstage. They haven't set a "wedding" date yet, but Edge is already thinking too far ahead to their honeymoon. He wants to take Vicki to his homeland of Canada. Never mind that the Rated R Superstar lives in Florida these days. The Edgeheads enter, and Edge nominates Zack Ryder to face Undertaker later. Ryder acts like he's just been handed a death notice. Gee, y'think?

Match 3: Chuck Palumbo vs. Jamie Noble (w/Michelle McCool) The last time these two met, Palumbo vented his frustrations and snapped a 4-match losing streak vs. Noble. That was 3 weeks ago. Noble's had time to heal, and this time, the fight is a little more even. Noble targets the left arm and shoulder of Palumbo, and for a moment it looked like he would try a cross-armbreaker, but didn't go for it. He did, however, lock on a Fujiwara armbar submission, only to have Palumbo force a rope break. Later, Noble hit a tilt-a-whirl back into the armbar, but Palumbo raked Noble's eyes across the top rope to free himself. Boot to the face sets up the Full Throttle. Winner: Chuck Palumbo.

Backstage, Maryse Ouellette is sucking up to Vicki, which doesn't make Teddy Long too happy. Batista enters, and volunteers to face Umaga at Wrestlemania. After getting endorsements from Long & Maryse, Vicki agrees.

Match 4: Batista & Kane vs. Great Khali & Montel V. Porter A fan holds up a sign nominating "The Animal" as the 2008 Sexiest Man Alive. People Magazine might not agree, but their award is months away.

For sheer drama alone, this is your match of the night. There were some doubts, due largely to the language barrier, as to whether or not Porter & Khali could work together as a team, but they did, for most of the match. Batista & Kane took turns as face in peril, using timely mistakes by their opponents to swing the momentum back to their side. The first came when Porter decided to come off the top, only to be greeted with a uppercut from Kane, allowing Big Red to tag Batista in. Late in the match, Khali is back in vs. Batista. He chopped Batista in the head, and went for the vise grip, but Batista blocked it and hit the spinebuster. That got a 2 as Porter made the save. Kane kicked Porter out of the ring. Khali went for the chokeslam, and took his eyes off Batista, who speared Khali halfway to the border. Winners: Batista & Kane.

As the match ended, Porter, as usual, gave up on his partner, unwilling to make one more save. His frustration, building after losing to Batista 3 weeks in a row, is getting near the boiling point. Maybe he should talk to Chuck Palumbo....

Eve Torres queues up the announcement of Peter Maivia & Rocky Johnson's induction into the Hall of Fame.

Match 5: John Morrison & Mike Mizanin vs. Jesse & Festus (non-title) The tag champs are coming off one non-title loss this week, losing to Tommy Dreamer & Colin Delaney on ECW 3 days ago. As we saw after that match, the wheels are starting to fall off their partnership, as they're beginning to revert back to the clashing egos that challenged for the ECW title back at Survivor Series. Before the match, they queue up an excerpt from their online trash-talk show, "The Dirt Sheet", purporting that Jesse was abducted by aliens. Not funny. Cole misspoke when he implied that Mizizzle won the $1,000,000 Tough Enough in '04 (he actually finished 2nd, but with Daniel Puder long gone, they're willing to retcon him out). The champs had Jesse in trouble, but couldn't put him away. Festus took the hot tag, and destroyed Morrison. Jesse took Miz out of the picture. Festus hit a modified vertical splash, then hit the F5. For the 2nd time in 4 days, the champs go down! Winners: Jesse & Festus.

Miz & Morrison are having it out again as another set of potential challengers leave the ring.

Earlier tonight, it was announced that Grammy winner John Legend will perform Vince McMahon's favorite song, "America The Beautiful" at Wrestlemania.

Raw Rebound is replayed. We're told that Finlay will be at Raw Monday, presumably to answer some questions about Hornswoggle.

Match 6: Big Daddy V (w/Matt Striker) vs. Balls Mahoney Mahoney hasn't been seen in a while, as his romance with Kelly Kelly was written out of play. They went to commercial before Balls came out for the match, so he's being treated like a rent-a-jobber. BDV had the match in hand after the Ghetto Drop, but then the Undertaker showed up. He cleared the ring of both combatants, and called for Edge to send Ryder out.

Winner: None. Match declared No Contest.

Match 7: Undertaker vs. Zack Ryder (w/Curt Hawkins & Edge) Protracted squash. Ryder was treated like a rent-a-jobber, given only just enough offense to make this remotely interesting. Edge & Hawkins can only look on and cringe seeing Ryder getting destroyed. Snake eyes sets up a boot to the face. Chokeslam leads to the figure four choke. Winner: Undertaker.

Post-match, Hawkins and the champion finally find the courage to attack Undertaker, but they made one mistake. They let him get up. Edge fled, and Hawkins was destroyed. Hawkins also felt the wrath of the choke, and bled from the mouth. The "blood" was on Taker's chest as he stared down Edge to end the show.

Announced for next week: MVP will defend the United States title vs. Batista. Finally, a title defense. What took so long?
