TV Rating
3.9
John Cena vs. Kevin Federline. The poser/actor/rapper stalled way too much before the match. He cut a promo saying that the match was now no-DQ, per Jonathan Coachman. That ensured a screwjob finish. Johnny Nitro worked the corner and gave Federline some boxing gloves and headgear and a mouthpiece, all of which Federline ditched in short order. Cena had Federline up for the FU, but then Umaga showed up and laid out the champ with a belt shot. Federline just laid down on top for the pin.Winner: Kevin Federline.

Highlanders & Cryme Tyme vs. World's Greatest Tag Team and Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch. Best match on the show by default, because almost everything else sucked. Unfortunately, this was also too short. Jawbreaker, followed by a modified hot shot--of sorts--on the ropes, enables Shad Gaspard to pin Murdoch. Winners: Highlanders & Cryme Tyme.

Jeff Hardy vs. Rob Conway.Conway, tired of losing, made a resolution that he'd quit Raw if he lost. Hardy beat him in under 30 seconds with a sunset flip out of the corner. Post-match, Vince McMahon, in a Hawaiian shirt, came out and cut a promo about New Year's Resolutions, then fired Conway, rather than let "Con Man" quit. Winner; Jeff Hardy.

Melina vs. Maria. Melina slapped the taste out of Maria's mouth backstage when Maria tried to interview Federline. More of the same here, although Maria showed some fire. Sloppy finish, as Maria forgot what the finish was and Melina had to redo the pinfall, stacking Maria a little higher to get the 3. Victoria did commentary, and said she had one more name on her list. She feigned going after Melina, but went after Lillian Garcia instead. Mickie James made the save. Winner: Melina.

Jeff Hardy vs. Umaga. These two last tangled on 12/11, with Umaga winning via TKO, but this match took place first, as this show was taped on 12/8. As was the case last time, Umaga doesn't have Armando Estrada in his corner, but looked more confident in his own abilities this time, not needing Estrada to direct his assault. He blocked the Swanton Bomb with two knees to the back, then hit the butt-splash in the corner and a Samoan Spike to send the Intercontinental Champion reeling to another loss. Winner: Umaga.

Kenny Dykstra & Chris Masters vs. Ric Flair & Carlito (w/Torrie Wilson). Decent tag team match, furthering two feuds that will continue at the PPV. Carlito & Masters, who at this time last year were chasing Cena for the title, brawled to the back, and Dykstra, who cut a promo earlier saying he was going to kill Flair's career, pinned Flair with his feet on the ropes. Winners: Kenny Dykstra & Chris Masters. In commentary, JR said that per Coachman, Masters' full nelson still hasn't been broken, ignoring the fact that it was "last week" by an Army sergeant. Unsurprising heel spin doctoring. Post-match, Flair called Dykstra out, demanding a restart, but Rated RKO showed up and laid out the Nature Boy with an RKO and a conchairto. We would soon find out that the tag titles will now be on the line at New Year's Revolution.

John Cena vs. Umaga, Jon Coachman, Armando Estrada, & Johnny Nitro. No red carpet or paparazzi for Nitro. I guess Melina gave them the rest of the night off. Short match again, but this time Cena's temper got the better of him, and he hit Umaga with a chair for the DQ. Post-match, he FU'd Nitro, Coach, and Federline, who was at ringside doing commentary. Winners: Umaga, Coachman, Estrada, & Nitro.
Location: Miami, Florida
