WrestlingTimesX - The Night CM Punk returns

The following post is not intended to be interpreted as insider news, but simply the creative ramblings of a wrestling fan. Enjoy.

Paul Heyman's client Brock Lesnar conquered The Streak, and as the advocate to the one that ended the greatest streak in sports entertainment, Heyman had gotten his client a match against the WWE World Heavyweight champion Daniel Bryan.

Daniel Bryan may not be as big or as strong as Brock Lesnar, but he proclaimed that he is the toughest, and if he believed that he could defeat The Beast Incarnate, the answer was YES!

The Allstate Arena erupted as these two went to war on what was sure to be a classic encounter. Daniel Bryan had Brock on his knees, and he delivered a series of kicks to the chest before connecting with the roundhouse kick. Heyman slid a steel chair in to the center of the ring, since this was indeed a no disqualification match. Lesnar used it to strike down Bryan, and proceeded to smash the steel chair into the small of his back.

Brock Lesnar then connected with a F5 onto the steel chair and went for the cover, with Paul Heyman at ringside mocking the champion, YES! YES! YES!

Bryan kicked out at two, and both Lesnar and Heyman were shocked. The Allstate Arena rumbled with Yeses and Daniel Bryan chants.

Heyman urged Lesnar to go for the cover again, but Bryan kicked out even quicker and started feeling the reaction pulsating from the WWE Universe as he stood to a vertical base. "GET HIM! GET HIM!" shouted Heyman to his client, but Bryan was not to be stopped.

Lesnar cornered Bryan and went to work on his midsection with a series of knee lifts; Bryan managed to reverse the situation as Lesnar was now in the corner and the recipient of a series of high knee kicks-- each with a resounding YES!

Bryan dashed to the opposite corner with the steel chair in hand, then ran up to Lesnar still drapped in the corner to deliver a modified Van Terminator. Chants of E-C-DUB rocked the arena.

Then Lesnar, the conqueror of The Streak, was struck with Bryan's running knee kick. Then the crowd chanted YES along with the referee's count, until Lesnar kicked out at two and a half. Lesnar then slugged Bryan with a devastating clothesline.

The Allstate Arena lost their minds in that moment because the most unlikely individual hit the ring and put The Anomaly known as Brock Lesnar to sleep.

Bryan looked on in disbelief even while he went for the cover to retain his championship because Rosemont's hometown hero had finally returned to the WWE.

The match had such an enriched blend of athleticism, entertainment, and sound storytelling that even Dave Meltzer was penciling in the five-star rating as he watched from his mobile phone. But despite how great the match had been, all anyone could talk about was how CM Punk returned to the WWE.

Answer the Question: How would you feel if CM Punk returned to WWE at Payback, being held at the Allstate Arena?
