Detailed Results
The quarter-finals of the Cueto Cup wrap tonight, but tonight also means the start of another quest for the Gift of the Gods.

1. Worldwide Underground (Taya, PJ Black, & Ricky Mandel w/Jack Evans) vs. the Rabbit Tribe (Mala Suerte, Saltador, & Paul London).

The rabbits do their dance around Melissa Santos to start. She seems slightly amused. Evans, because of his jaw being wired shut, is reduced to being a poor man's Lodi (think WCW 20 years ago), with a white grease board with which he writes messages. He pushes London off the top, but WU can't capitalize. Suerte takes out Taya & Black, and that leaves the hapless Mandel to do what he does best. Yeah, you got it. London Calling (shooting star press) puts another 'L' on Mandel's ledger.

Winners: The Rabbit Tribe.

Agent Ben Cooke reams out the losers backstage after. Seems there's going to be a break-up, as Cooke is pointing Johnny Mundo toward some outside-the-ring opportunities.

2. Cueto Cup quarter-finals: Jeremiah Crane vs. Mil Muertes (w/Catrina).

Muertes ambushes Crane en route to the ring. After a commercial, we're told the match is now No-DQ, per Dario Cueto, to ensure a winner. A spectacular brawl breaks out. Crane juices. Reaper's Trident on the floor. A second one sends Crane through a table. Crane answers with a cannonball through a standing table. Turnaround chokeslam gets 2. Mil finally ends it with the Flatliner.

Winner: Mil Muertes.

Post-match, instead of the lick of death, Catrina ends up getting kissed by Crane, who eats a boot to the head for this indiscretion.

Cueto is now visited by FBI Agent Winter (hmmm, he looks familiar), who is replacing the slain Councilman Delgado as the Order's representative. Hmmmmm.

3. Cueto Cup quarter-finals: Texano, Jr. vs. Pentagon Dark.

Texano came out alone, but, predictably, Famous B & Brenda come down. After FB's actions helped Texano advance, well......! All FB is interested in is adding to his stable and getting rich off Texano. Not gonna happen, methinks. Decent match, but too short. Then again, how could they follow Crane-Muertes II? Top rope leg lariat gets 2. Pentagon is hung on the tree of woe, and that gets 2 after a knee strike in the corner. FB pulls a golden horseshoe from Brenda's purse, but his pass overshoots Texano. Pentagon knows what to do with it. Texano is KO'd. Karma, brother. Karma.

Winner: Pentagon Dark.

So, the final four will be Pentagon Dark vs. Mil Muertes and Prince Puma vs. Fenix. Both next week.

Post-match, FB begs Pentagon to spare Texano's arm. Pentagon complies, then superkicks FB and gives him a broken arm for the 2nd time. And, just for good measure, Brenda gets hers broken, too.

At police headquarters, Catrina pays a call on Captain Vasquez, who happens to be her mother. The amulet, if joined together, could be fatal to one or both women. Hmmmmmm.
