Detailed Results
No recap this week. Instead, Catrina finds Fenix preparing for his title match vs. Mil Muertes. We are reminded that Catrina was briefly with Fenix last season, and he could've given her life. She makes out with him, saying it's their last kiss........

1. Trios title: Disciples of Death (w/Catrina) vs. Angelico, Ivelisse, & Son of Havoc.

Until now, Catrina's team had all the gold. That's about to change, as the former champs pair off with the champs. Seems Matt Striker's lost track of which disciple is which, forgetting their names. Catrina gets involved at one point, pulling Ivelisse off the apron to continue their issue, but Ivie is back up ere long. Meanwhile, one disciple has been isolated. Angelico hits the Fall of the Angels (running buckle bomb), setting up Son of Havoc for the Shooting Star Press, and the formerly dysfunctional trio have regained their gold!

Winners: Angelico, Ivelisse, & Son of Havoc.

Johnny Mundo & Prince Puma are somewhere in the bowels of the temple. Puma is working the heavy bag. Mundo does all the talking (of course), and says he will beat Puma at Aztec Warfare II next week, then go on to win the title. Puma puts his fist through the bag as Mundo leaves. Meanwhile, Rey Mysterio and Dragon Azteca, Jr. have also been invited to Aztec Warfare II, and toast the occasion with tequila. So Rey will finally entire the temple. This should be fun.

2. Texano, Jr. vs. Chavo Guerrero, Jr..

It's a bullrope match this time. The Crew decides to leave, rather than risk Texano's wrath again. Smartest thing they've ever done. Chavo does take the fight to Texano, using the stolen bullrope, but when he attempts the frogsplash, Texano pulls him off. One sitout powerbomb later, it's over, because time constraints won't allow them to do a bullrope match the way you think they should, by having a competitor touch all 4 corners.

Winner: Texano, Jr..

Mil Muertes prepares by destroying the disciples. Elsewhere, Dario Cueto tells Black Lotus that Matanza is finally ready, and Cueto intends to reclaim his temple. Matanza emerges after killing another unfortunate. Predictably, he's masked, and there is blood on his vest. Seems to be a rip-off of Abyss, with more homicidal tendencies.

3. Lucha Underground title: Mil Muertes vs. Fenix.

Catrina is back out, and her facials tell the whole story. She's not a happy camper after losing the trios belts. Fenix has swapped out the Gift of the Gods belt he regained two weeks ago. Muertes is bent on destroying the Bird of War once and for all. He rips at Fenix's mask, so Fenix later returns the favor, and we see some hair sticking out from under Muertes' mask. Muertes hit a spear through the middle rope, knocking both champ & challenger to the floor. At the end, Muertes, though weakened, sets up the Flatliner, but Fenix rolls him up and bridges up to claim the title! Catrina has no more gold!

Winner: Fenix.

Catrina promptly announces that Aztec Warfare II will be, like last year, for the title, with Fenix at #1 and Mil Muertes at #20, just like last year. Sore loser.
