Quick Results

1. Ivelisse def. Mariposa.

2. Cage def. Texano, Jr..

3. LU title: Matanza Cueto def. Prince Puma due to interference from Mil Muertes and an ethics violation by Dario Cueto.

Detailed Results
1. Mariposa (w/Marty Martinez) vs. Ivelisse.

The last time we saw the bizarre siblings, they had tasted wood during Marty's match with Killshot 2 weeks ago. Marty being the LU answer to Raven doesn't hide the fact he's a few fries shy of a happy meal. Fairly even match, aside from token interference from Marty. Mariposa tries and fails twice to land the Butterfly Effect, but Ivey nails the Code Red (flip powerbomb) to pick up the win.

Winner: Ivelisse.

Marty gives Ivey a cheap shot after the match. I guess now she's his new obsession. Marty should be in restraints and locked up.

2. Cage vs. Texano, Jr..

Match 2 of a best of 5. More of the same from 2 weeks ago, but for the 2nd straight time, Cage opts against using Weapon X, his #1 finisher, thinking that perhaps out of respect for Texano, he won't use it. This time, after another even steven matchup, Cage hits the Lucha Destroyer, which in this case is the F-5, and goes up, 2-0.

Winner: Cage.

Earlier in the night, Dario Cueto spun his Dial of Doom, and it landed on Prince Puma. Naturally, Johnny Mundo's not happy, and demands a title shot. Denied, he decides to pursue the Gift of the Gods, but because it was Jack Evans, and not Mundo, who pinned Sexy Star last week, Evans gets the title shot next week. Meanwhile, Ivey's got a new boyfriend, a fellow named Jeremiah. NXT fans will recognize him as Solomon Crowe, otherwise known as Sami Callihan, who might also be familiar to Ring of Honor fans. Seems a mixed tag vs. Marty & Mariposa is nigh.

3. LU title: Matanza Cueto (w/Dario) vs. Prince Puma.

To be the best in Lucha Underground, you have to beat the best. Matanza understands this. Puma gives him a lot more than he bargained for, and gets a few near falls. Mil Muertes shows up and hits the Reaper's Trident (spear), but Dario tells Marty Elias not to call for the bell. Conflict of interest, abuse of power, call it what you will, but Dario has crossed the line again and committed a serious ethics violation to protect his brother. Muertes hits the Flatliner, then leaves. Matanza, given time to recover, hits the Wrath of the Gods.

Winner (not really): Matanza Cueto.

Backstage, Killshot is working out. Joey Ryan shows up and gives him an envelope. The message reads, "You left me for dead". Variation on a WWE angle from a few years back. Tell you more about it in the Reaction Zone.
