Match-by-match results and television rating of this edition of NXT.
Show: NXT
Date: September 13, 2011
Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada
Commentary: Jack Korpela, William Regal, Michael Cole

TV Rating:
1. Titus O'Neal & Percy Watson def. Tyson Kidd & Derrick Bateman when O'Neal pinned Bateman.
2. Maxine def. AJ Lee.
3. Darren Young & JTG def. William Regal & Matt Striker when Young pinned Striker.
We open with Matt Striker, who cuts a promo on Darren Young. Ultimately, Young and JTG come down, so William Regal leaves the desk to join Striker. Of course you know that sets up our main event.
1. Titus O'Neal & Percy Watson vs. Tyson Kidd & Derrick Bateman.
No Hornswoggle, so it appears that Bateman & Maxine did exactly what they said they'd do after last week's show, but that has more of an impact on the next match, as 'Swoggle's squeeze, AJ Lee, will face Maxine. The booking on this show has been so aimless, as they are taking forever to put the wraps on this cycle. It might be that they're stalling and trying to extend this to the end of the year, so that they can start with a clean slate on the WWE Network next year. I digress.
Watson took the heat, as this was his first appearance on NXT since season 2, and he is a totally changed man. No more glasses, and he's more buffed up than ever. Hot tag to O'Neal, and, well, if you're Bateman, that can't be too good. Clash of the Titus, which is the old D'Lo Brown Sky-Hi spinebuster bomb, and c u later. Winners: Titus O'Neal & Percy Watson.
Our feuding femmes fatale meet backstage, and Maxine is trying to sell AJ on the idea that Hornswoggle is cheating on her with the Bellas, but AJ isn't buying. She leaves and Maxine 'fesses to the camera what AJ probably already knew, that this was a photoshop job........
2. Maxine vs. AJ Lee.
AJ's run of bad luck in singles continues. Without her beloved 'Swoggle to cheer her on, and with Bateman backstage recovering from another loss, Maxine controls this match on her own. Finish is the Voodoo Drop, which if you're a TNA fan, you'd know that as Roxxi's old finisher. Winner: Maxine.
3. William Regal & Matt Striker vs. Darren Young & JTG.
Michael Cole joins Jack Korpela at the desk. I turn off my speakers, so I don't have to listen to Cole put himself over the match.
By default the best match on the show. Striker is wearing blue gym trunks. Not a good sign. The pace slowed anytime Striker was in, which meant trouble. Regal tried to help at the end by clearing out JTG, but Young got the better of Striker again, this time with a gutbuster out of a fireman's carry. Winners: Darren Young & JTG.
