Detailed Results
We open with stills from Best in the World, setting the tone for the evening.

1. Dalton Castle vs. Takaki Watanabe.

Looking at an appearance Castle made at a TNA One Night Only PPV earlier this year, he'd swapped out his usual male entourage for a pair of female attendants. Personally, I'd prefer he had the women, for obvious reasons. Anyway, going into this match, Castle hadn't yet won a match on TV, and was coming off a win at Best in the World, where he used a low blow to beat Silas Young, starting their program. Much like his countryman, Jushin "Thunder" Liger, Watanabe got the attention of the attendants early on in the match. Apparently, the Japanese love Castle's act. Personally, I wish he'd introduced the attendants in front of the homies here in upstate NY, but that's just me. Watanabe took Castle to Suplex City, a la Brock Lesnar, but Castle's just as capable of throwing suplexes. He even cribbed the dead-lift German from Michael Elgin. Watanabe, however, made one mistake too many, and Castle made him pay with a spinning Alabama Slam for his first TV win.

Winner: Dalton Castle.

Dalton doesn't work in Albany anymore, but we'll still consider him one of ours.

Nigel McGuinness brings out the House of Truth, including World & TV champ Jay Lethal. I wish he'd get a clue and get rid of that parasite Truth Martini. Martini spewed some gaga before letting Lethal talk. I don't think Lethal's long for the House, but that's just me again. Lethal has no intention of giving up the TV title, though that'd be the right thing to do, and I think that's because Martini doesn't want to give up the ring that goes with it. Nigel then mentions that Lethal will defend the TV title next week vs. Mark Briscoe, and the World title at Death Before Dishonor on 7/24 vs. Roderick Strong, who comes out and cuts a promo.

Inside ROH offers highlights of the title match and another promo from Strong. Adam Page cuts a promo promoting his match next week vs. Matt Sydal. Meh, whatever.

2. The Kingdom (Michael Bennett, Adam Cole, & Matt Taven w/Maria Kanellis-Bennett) vs. Michael Elgin & reDRagon (Kyle O'Reilly & Bobby Fish).

Now, upstate NY represents with Albany native Fish. Elgin has quietly turned back face with Lethal entrenched as the top heel. Maria cut a promo "dispelling rumors" of dissension in the Kingdom. They have the IWGP tag titles here, but just lost them today in Tokyo back to the Bullet Club. I have a feeling I know where this is going.

Steve Corino started this match as an unabashed cheerleader for the Kingdom due to his buddy Adam Cole, but, as Elgin took a large chunk of heat and dished it back with a bravura, MVP-level performance, Corino put Elgin over as ROH's Superman. Duh! Elgin hit the delayed vertical on Bennett, despite Cole & Taven's attempts at breaking it up. Good luck with that, fellas. Similarly, later in the match, Elgin hit a double Samoan drop on the luckless Taven & Bennett despite Cole trying to break it up. Chasing the Dragon sets up a SuperElginBomb for 2. Panama City Destroyer, followed by a spike piledriver, gets just 2. Cole goes for the Destroyer a 2nd time, but misfires. Finally, Cole is left all alone with reDRagon, who hit Chasing the Dragon again, and O'Reilly pins Cole.

Winners: Michael Elgin & reDRagon.

Post-match, Cole & O'Reilly shake hands, and Cole raises O'Reilly's hand, infuriating Maria. Cole then leaves the Kingdom behind! Face turn, anyone?
