6. Sheamus def. Mark Henry-countout.
Teddy Long didn't make the trip due to "unforeseen circumstances", so Hall of Famer and local hero Bret "Hitman" Hart is brought out as acting GM for the evening. Bret initially sets up Randy Orton vs. Mark Henry for Tuesday's live special, but then Christian shows up. Christian blames his best friend, Edge, who cut a promo on him at Summerslam, for losing the World title to Orton that night. Hart, however, sees Christian the same way Edge does, as a whiny crybaby and, on top of that, an embarassment. Christian, going along with the current angle, produces a "court order" to ensure he can cash in his rematch clause for a title match, so he gets Orton on Tuesday, but Hart trumps that by making it a cage match!
Henry, understandably upset, is out next, and Christian promptly bails. Henry has dibs on the winner of the cage match, but when it looks like he's threatening Hart, Sheamus, his opponent tonight, makes the save and chases him from the ring, but not before cutting a promo likening what he intends to do to Henry to a bull castration.......
1. Christian vs. Daniel Bryan.
Christian doesn't get a 2nd entrance so soon. Not that he needed it anyway. Very good match, which sets the tone for the evening. Back and forth they went, and, like Alberto Del Rio the last two weeks, Christian is having trouble putting the Money in the Bank winner away. He hit one pendulum kick, but the 2nd one was blocked by Bryan, who made a comeback, and hit a buzzkick for 2. LeBell Lock is broken when Christian forces a rope break. Bryan, who hit a running dropkick in the corner earlier, misses the 2nd time, and Christian promptly engages the killswitch to end it. Winner: Christian.
Wade Barrett is scheduled next against a rent-a-jobber, whose name is never revealed, but Barrett, to the shock of all but maybe Michael Cole & Booker T, who respect his decision, opts out, claiming the opponent is beneath his station. Like he's getting in line for a title shot anytime soon. I don't think so.
2. Sin Cara vs. Heath Slater.
The real Sin Cara is back after they used a fill-in the last two weeks, but Cara has apparently had the modifications in the moveset already. Slater attacks early, but that's it, as he's otherwise squashed like a bug. Springboard somersault senton, followed by a springboard Asai moonsault, and the curtain drops on Slater. Winner: Sin Cara.
Next for Sin Cara is Alberto Del Rio on Tuesday.
3. Non-title: Randy Orton vs. Ted DiBiase (w/Cody Rhodes & baggers).
Rhodes cut a promo before the match, which suggests that he may be next in line after Henry for Orton. Rhodes got involved early, getting on the apron as Orton set up the hanging DDT. Orton dropped Rhodes back to the floor, then beeled DiBiase in. The champ then slid out, poised to give Rhodes an RKO, but DiBiase saved with a baseball slide dropkick. DiBiase took control from there, but couldn't hold serve. Back comes Orton with the hanging DDT. RKO blocked. Dream St. blocked. DiBiase misses a lariat and eats the RKO. See ya. Winner: Randy Orton.
Post-match, Rhodes took out his frustration on DiBiase, hitting Cross Rhodes and giving DiBiase the brown paper bag treatment.
4. Non-title: Kelly Kelly vs. Tamina.
Tamina gets no entrance, but takes it to Kelly right away. Like Slater, though, the offense is brief. Kelly with a handspring elbow and a stinkface. Tamina tries to get it back, but Kelly finishes her with the K2. Winner: Kelly Kelly.
As Kelly entered, we cut to a pre-recorded promo by Natalya, who didn't appear before the hometown fans to keep her heel heat. Obviously, her issue with Alicia Fox will be settled another day (Tuesday?), but Natalya's promo recalls Kharma's mission before maternity leave, destroying the "dolls".........
Matt Striker interviews Jinder Mahal. Mahal is not happy with Great Khali failing him last week, and reiterates that Khali isn't just his brother-in-law, but his servant. Khali gets Ezekiel Jackson next......
5. Great Khali (w/Jinder Mahal) vs. Ezekiel Jackson.
Another glorified squash, which doesn't do wonders for Mahal's push. Jackson breaks the Vise Grip, and if that wasn't stunning enough, Mahal's interference backfires when he takes a brain chop intended for Jackson, and Zeke racks up the former champ! Winner: Ezekiel Jackson.
Todd Grisham, in his final appearance, interviews Randy Orton about his title defense on Tuesday. He's tired of Christian of course, but doesn't underestimate him.
6. Mark Henry vs. Sheamus.
Rematch from Summerslam. It takes 5 Celtic Hammers for Sheamus to knock Henry down. 2 kneelifts off the apron can only force the Olympic Powerhouse to back away from the ropes, enabling Sheamus to hit a shoulderblock off the top, which gets 2. To the floor they go, and Henry is clearing the broadcast table, bent on putting Sheamus through. Not happening. Brogue Kick sends Henry over the table, and he gets KOd when Sheamus takes Cole's chair and throws it at him, then beats the count. Winner: Sheamus.
