We open tonight with Triple H. Long story short, the COO has appointed himself as the guest ref for the CM Punk-John Cena rematch at Summerslam, because he's the only one he can trust to settle the issue. And Cena is in our first match......

1. Non-title: John Cena vs. Jack Swagger.

Swagger dominated early on, but may have gone for the downs too early. Swagger Bomb gets 2, but Cena comes back and rallies. Swagger tries the anklelock, but it's countered into an attempted STF, but Swagger reaches the ropes. Cena ends it with the Attitude Adjustment. Winner: John Cena.

Scott Sandford attempts to interview Alberto Del Rio, but Ricardo Rodriguez will not allow that. Del Rio faces CM Punk later, and calls Punk a coward. Meanwhile, Josh Mathews has a strange interview with R-Truth, who gets to settle things with John Morrison later. Truth goes off on a tangent about spiders again, but no talk of conspiracies.

Rey Mysterio was to face the Miz in a return from 7/25, but Miz ambushed Mysterio, and left him lying in an injury angle. Miz wanted a forfeit, but Triple H had other ideas......

2. Miz vs. Kofi Kingston.

Return match from the 7/18 tournament semi-final. Back & forth match, and this time, Miz is at 100%, unlike the last time, when he had a slight knee injury. Miz cut a promo beforehand, but it was more of the usual gaga. Kofi hit a corkscrew crossbody for 2, then a sunset bomb off the top. Victory roll is blocked into a hot shot, setting up the Skull Crushing Finale, and the arrogant media whore wins again. Winner: The Miz.

3. Non-title: CM Punk vs. Alberto Del Rio (w/Ricardo Rodriguez).

Punk gets an opponent of similar ability, as both are submission wrestlers. Way, way too short, as this was the first official meeting between these two. Del Rio worked on the left arm, setting up the cross-armbreaker, but couldn't land the finish. Instead, Punk spun out, and hit a roundhouse to the head. Del Rio staggered off the ropes and walked right into the GTS. Winner: CM Punk.

4. Beth Phoenix vs. Eve Torres.

In commentary, JR & Michael Cole seemingly are in agreement about Beth regaining the Divas title on Sunday. Eve tried to offer a challenge, but Beth rebuffed her efforts, crotching Eve on the top turnbuckle when the last Diva Search winner went for a moonsault. After that, it's Glam Slam, thank you ma'am, and it's over. Winner: Beth Phoenix.

Post-match, Beth cut a promo on Eve, then left the ring with mic in hand. She paused to continue, but Kelly Kelly blindsided the challenger with a belt shot. Cole, who applauded his pal Miz for ambushing Mysterio, blasted Kelly for doing the same. Can't have it both ways, slick.

5. Non-title: Dolph Ziggler (w/Vickie Guerrero) vs. Alex Riley.

After being challenged by Riley last week about his manhood, Ziggler goes one-on-one with the NXT graduate. Vickie was slow to get off the apron, and her malingering would prove costly. Just as Riley begins to rally, Vickie brazenly enters the ring to talk trash, then slaps Riley. The ref calls for the bell, but it doesn't end there. Riley nails Ziggler, who knocks Vickie down. Vickie leaves without Dolph, and again they tease breaking up this stale act. Winner: Alex Riley via DQ.

6. John Morrison vs. R-Truth.

We are reminded of how Truth initially turned heel on Morrison in London back in April. Morrison's neck is still not 100%, and that would work in Truth's favor. Morrison barely grazed the ringpost in doing a corkscrew plancha on the floor. Truth knocked Morrison off the barricade, with Morrison hitting the back of his neck on the barrier. Morrison would sell the neck the rest of the match. Truth went for Paydirt, but Morrison held the rope. However, Truth would finally hit Paydirt to end it. Winner: R-Truth.

Triple H & John Lauranitis are going over the contract for the title match, and that will be signed next.

World Champ Christian appears and has a special announcement that he'll make on Smackdown on Friday, and he's practically inviting Triple H to appear.

Back from break, and the two executives are in the ring. Oh, the drama. Punk is out next, followed by Cena. Punk sit leisurely, legs on the table. He goes off on a long diatribe, prefaced with a video from------THE ROCK! The People's Movie Star goes off on Cena again, which Cena finds amusing. Punk, speaking to Lauranitis, references the firings of Vlad Kozlov, Chris Masters, & Harry "David Hart" Smith on Friday. Again, in mimicking Lauranitis, Punk makes him sound like Super Dave Osborne, just as Cena did last week. The vocal resemblance is amazing. The contract is signed, and the combatants are ready to rumble anyway (because they have a dark match main event). Lauranitis tries to separate them. Punk hits the roundhouse, knocking him out. HHH tries to stop it, and Cena knocks him into Punk. I think we know who's winning on Sunday. Punk thinks the fix is in, but is it?
